I’m joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday.
Inspired this week by some fall color on the lake and a neighbor’s hay bales in a field nearby, I set a table with Royal Stafford Harvest Hayride from Home Goods.
I’m drawn to the pastoral scene on the plates with horses, hay, fruit & flower border, and of course the dog :-)
I filled my lanterns with mini pumpkins, pine cones, acorns, a few leaves and other assorted botanicals, instead of candles for my table~
The light is lower in the horizon this time of year~ while I love the golden, slanting beams that fall across my table on the porch, it is challenging when it comes to taking photos.
I love this! So beautiful and you’re so creative! Makes me glad I live in the country. I just wish I had a wagon – I’d take my grandkids on a hayride on our 6 acres!
I love love love the lanterns and the way that you have decorated them. Looks like you have 3 different sizes. The colors on the lake are beautiful and remind me of my home in PA by the river with big mountains on the other side. The colors were always so bright. Even tho you have posted so many pics, I didn’t realize how close you were to the water. What a lovely piece of land you have. I know you have been so inspired the past few years living off and on there. Beautiful tablescape Mary.
What a beautiful lakeside pastoral scene, Mary! The colors are so vibrant & your choice of plates didn’t surprise me at all…♥ the poochie on there.
I enjoyed seeing your eautifully set table in its different stages, too. I can never get enough pictures of the place you live. :)
such a pretty lakeside setting… the fall shots on the water… SWOON! i love those hay rolls too, i call them tournedos of beef~ they don’t do them that way here, i only see it when we travel out of state.
love your dishes, timeless~
another gorgeous day at the lake, its endless joy and beauty from you~
Mary, love to see your lakeside property through the seasons. The colors of the leaves echoed on this beautiful table, your choice of dinnerware, and the lanterns filled with pumpkins, acorns, and leaves ~ it’s all beautifully orchestrated. I have the plates in a different theme. I’ll need to remember to use them as you’ve done. It all looks stunning! ~ sarah
SO gorgeous! I love it all — the plaid, the wicker, the harvest patterned china, and all those lovely pumpkins! Fabulous photos!
Gorgeous Fall table, Mary. I love all the elements and especially love those plates.
Wow, how fun! I’m lovin’ the dishes and your great mosaics! Fall is treating you well:@)
I absolutely love this table. It’s elegant, yet simple. Love the colors!
My favorite is the way you decorated your lanterns. Very pretty.

I love the scene on those plates too and can totally see where you got your inspiration. They look perfect with those chargers and against that tablecloth with the rich plaid. I also love the autumn things in the lanterns. The black is perfect next to those plates.
A beautiful job.
I always enjoy your posts so much, and this one is just so neat. Love all of your lanterns filled with pumpkins, leaves, and such, and I love the neat transferware plates! The chargers are a perfect touch, too, as is the orange plaid cloth. Great job! Very Festive! Very Fallish! Very Fun!
Happy Tablescape Thursday…
XO,
Sheila :-)
Goodness..Between you and Yvonne..I feel like celebrating your Thanksgivings:) How lovely!
How pretty your autumn filled lanterns are. Love your pretty china mixed with the fall colors.
Love the plates and the chargers and love the pumpkins and lamps. Just very fallish. Joni
You have truly captured the “feeling” that comes with fall both by the lakeside and in the countryside! Love the pics of the hay bales as well as the lake shore mixed in the collage of your tablescape! The rich autumnal colours of your table look great next to the tall black lanterns and those plates are perfect! I can feel the warmth of the late afternoon sun while dining at your little porch table enjoying the setting and the view- how I wish I was!

I love those plates – transferware? The whole setting is just beautiful.
Lakeside Living in the Fall…just cannot beat it! The views are beautiful…your tablescapes are gorgeous!! Now…tell me…do you have a separate house where you keep all of your tableware?? Just kidding Mary….you just have so many different sets….and they are all stunning!!!
What a beautiful decoration ! As we have nothing to celebrate in Belgium besides a very little Halloween compared to the States, I just made a little autumn decoration.
Beautiful ~ just beautiful! Everything is so colorful and inviting. I love the plaid tablecloth and the outdoor setting. The essence of fall.

I love your table! Filling the lanterns with fall items is such a great idea. I also love the chargers and I succumbed to some of those dishes myself… Beautiful as usual.
Stunning table setting…the view leaves me breathless, especially the reflection of the gorgeous trees off the water.
I love that transferware pattern (so much so I just bought a few pieces), it goes so nicely with the autumn season. Thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous fall colors! Love seeing haybales in the fields – seems so tranquil to me! Just love your lanterns and your plates are just lovely!

I enjoyed my visit to your blog. Just love love love your tablescape!!
Aren’t screened porches just the very best! Perfect spot for elegant entertaining, formal or casual. The Harvest Hayride is a gorgeous pattern, and I really like your treatment of the lanterns as centerpieces. Thank you for sharing your wonderful design. Cherry Kay
What a beautiful autumn table!! I have similar dishes and LOVE them…they are so versatile and these go so well with all of your fall things.

Simply lovely!!! The various sized lanterns really make a great statement!
Gorgeous! I love how you filled your lanterns with the abundance of autumn. So lovely. Your plates are just beautiful. I enjoyed your autumn scenes too.
Just gorgeous! The lanterns are amazing, what a great idea… everything is just beautiful and I love your harvest plates!
How beautiful! Your dishes are so pretty.
Your tablescape, scenery and photos are all beautiful. Impressive.
I love your lanterns! I’ve been toying with the idea of getting some, and I think this has just convinced me I “need” some! I also love your dishes. I like the pastoral scene, and the fact that they are monochromatic. I’ve seen a lot of Fall transferware that is multi-color but this appeals to me more.
Fabulous table…I love the dishes, and all your beautiful decorations. Your pictures are just beautiful. The setting with the field in the background, and hay bales is absolutely perfect!!
Beautiful!!!
