A Lakeside Picnic

Still a little cool for a pontoon picnic, we enjoyed a little waterside dining  instead. . .

 Some pasta salads~

A baguette~

A little fruit & cheese~

 A beverage with bubbles~

With glasses held in place by Steady Steaks~

No bees to buzz around us this early in the season, except the ones on the flatware & beverage bucket :-)

I hope it’s picnic weather soon where you are :-)

Thank you for your visit, I’m joining:

Wish I lived closer Mary, I would love to meet you. You are so creative and it flows so easily for you. I love your wire cloche. Where did you buy it? Your pillow says it all. Your grass is so healthy and I am wishing mine looked like yours. We need rain very badly and there is flooding in Tennessee so I am not complaining.

    Hi Mary
How lucky you are to live on the lake! I was up there last week listing a house in Queen’s Cove, not lakefront though. Since I live in Charlotte would be fun to get together sometime.

Every week I am blown away by your staging. Was that part of your professional life? I’m thinking you should come to Maine when I am setting up the shop at CMCA and add your special touches.

What a lovely spot for a picnic! What’s in the sealed jars? Pasta salad, maybe?
Those little Steady Steaks are a cool innovation…I’ve never seen them before.

You’ve given me an idea to plant some pretty flowers around a potted cypress tree that we got as a gift for Christmas. Yours looks lovely like that & I LOVE the cascading flowers over the handle of the watering can. You do things up so beautifully, Mary! Truly an art form!

    Hugs,

Thanks for everyone’s comments… my sealed jars do have pasta salad! One is an orzo one that we eat regularly with grape tomatoes, pine nuts, chopped basil or spinach, lemon juice & zest, and Newman’s Own Parmesan & Roasted Garlic dressing. My wire cloche, shockingly, came from HomeGoods :-) Our grass is green from all our rain. We are fortunate that on the lake, unless under extreme drought conditions, we can use lake water for irrigation, but we haven’t needed to this spring~

I’ve had it many years from my retail days. The manufacturer was India Handicraft, I’ve seen versions of it from time to time at HomeGoods & TJ Maxx.

Looks like a perfect day Mary! Just a beautiful setting and I love the glass holders, what a fun idea-enjoy:@)

How lovely!! The pictures were so tranquil and beautiful. You have a lot of style and class. . .and it shows in your pictures. I was looking at the pictures thinking how nice it would be to be able to sit on the ground beside a lake. And not have to worry about having an alligator come up and crash your party. (I live in Florida).
