We were able to sneak in a little boating leaf tour right before the temperatures nose-dived into the “too-chilly-to-boat” range~ which for me is anything below 60 degrees :)
“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it,
and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth
seeking the successive autumns.”
– George Eliot

Mary, between your design skills and beautiful photography you have one of THE best blogs in the “sphere”! If you ever run out of ideas, I’m sure we all lwould ove to see how you’ve decorated your houses. Your tablescapes are enchanting, I’m sure the rest of your environment is equally as gorgeous. I look forward to your emails with anticipation because I get lost in your posts……..
Just beautiful. How I would love to spend a few days in your little corner of paradise!
Very pretty Mary, I love the colors of the reflections too-enjoy:@)
Gorgeous Autumn on the lake, Mary!
Fall color almost passed us by this year. Leaves went from green to brown, a shame since Maine is usually so rich with color. Guess that is part of the crazy weather systems there have been.
Beautiful photos of your lake, Mary. I love how you captured the reflections in the water.
Beautiful pictures, Mary. Your part of the world is so picturesque, and you capture it beautifully. Thanks for sharing.
Your photos have captured everything I love about this season! I’m so glad you ventured out on the water one last time, and shared the beauty with us. That is a wonderful quote, too!
Mary I think these are the pretties fall photos I’ve seen. I love the leaf floating on the water! I am so glad I found your blog! hugs, Linda

I have a 50-100 degree rule for outdoor activities, if it’s below 50 or over 100, I stay inside!!!!
Your photos of autumn are AWESOME!
Thank you for those beautiful pictures. We really don’t have fall here and I miss the fall foliage. That was a special treat for me!

Absolutely gorgeous, Mary!
One of the few things I miss about living on the mainland is the very marked changes of seasons… We do have them here, but much more subtly… ;-)

Your lake views are gorgeous. Are the lake levels down up there? It seems like Lake Lanier is always waaaaay below what it should be.
What gorgeous photos, Mary. You completely captured the very essence of autumn. I can almost smell the leaves!!! xo
I wouold so LOOOOVE to take a boat ride with you on this GORGEOUS lake! I agree about the temps too, today it is 54 here right now and a little TOO chilly for me:):):) XO, Pinky
Thanks for everyone’s kind comments! Lake Norman is down about 5 feet from it’s normal level but nothing like Lake Lanier.
Your photos are just gorgeous!!!
