I put some milk & cookies out for Santa in anticipation of his arrival. . .
Thanks to our annual cookie exchange, Santa has lots of variety this year . . .
Adorable and classic Spritz Cookies. . .
. . .or tray full of other varieties to satisfy his sweet tooth!
My vintage-inspired chalkware Santas, along with my Great Aunt’s Santa mugs & bowl made the trek to the table~
The varieties of cookies for Santa to choose from are as overwhelming for him, as they were for me, deciding on one to bake. . .
Fortunately I had some cookie inspiration from Nigella. . .
Still it was difficult to decide on one variety, so I chose two :)

Lucky Santa! What a lovely table and delicious looking cookies. It made me smile to see the mugs and plates, as I have the same ones. It looks as if we’re both Fitz & Floyd fans, which reminds me that I need to get these out. Happy Holidays, Mary!
so love those mugs! Too cute.

This is so cute, Mary. I think I might have some of those mugs at home, packed away someplace.
Merry Christmas!
I’m not sure what is more enticing–the Santa collection or the cookie assortment! Great vintage Santas trekking across your table, and red velvet cookies? I will have to give those a try! Thanks for sharing! Your photos are always so beautiful!

I saw some of those vintage mugs last week. I should have gotten them because they are too cute! I’m going to pose as Santa and come to your house to sample your gorgeous cookies!
I am THRILLED to have won the cookbook, and can’t wait to get my hands on it. Thank you SO MUCH! You appear to have a no reply blogger email address so I can’t figure out how to get my contact information to you. May I ask you to email me with your email info? Thanks.
A very festive Second Annual Cookie Exchange. Thank you for the gorgeous fresh arrangements in the Fitz & Floyd cookie jars that are featured in your photos once again this year. Wonderful…A

Hope to bake cookies on Thursday. This post is full of inspiration! Gee, those little Santa mugs take me back to my childhood. I wonder if my sister rescued them from our mother’s home when she moved? Another lovely post, Mary. Thanks for sharing your Christmas baking. Holiday Hugs ~ Sarah
What a wonderful collection of Santas! I grew up with those mugs many years ago(yikes…they are now considered vintage!!!)and still love them. I also loved Jain’s remark “if only I were as tiny and small as I was back then”…I echo that remark.
Very fun post!
If Santa doesn’t eat all those cookies, I’ll be happy to help!

If I wake up Christmas morning and find there are no presents under my tree, I will know it’s because Santa stopped at your house first!!! :-) Beautiful cookies presented on a beautiful table! I used to know how to make spritz cookies, but I haven’t tried in so long and no longer have the apparatus. That used to be so much fun! If I pick that back up again, though, I will rival Santa for tipping that scale! :-) Have a wonderful, safe, and loving Christmas!
One of the very best gifts I have received is YOU, Mary! I am so grateful that found your blog and continue to get excited EVERY time I see a new post!
