Hearts, Flowers & Chocolate

With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, I’m anticipating celebrating with a few Hearts, Flowers & a little Chocolate!

I found these Marbled Chocolate Heart Cups at World Market  that make for a quick & easy Valentine’s Day treat~

Perfect for filling with mousse, ice cream, lemon curd or any berries & whipped cream~

I kept it simple and added a tablespoon of Grand Marnier to my whipped cream for a little orange flavor, added some strawberries and garnished with chocolate curls included in the package~

Ideal for a Valentine’s Day served with Rose Petal Tea, I also found at World Market~

And a few heart-shaped tea sandwiches of the chicken salad variety and very thin bread from Pepperidge Farm~ a compromise with white on one side & wheat on the other :)

I was just at World Market yesterday. Now it looks like I’ll have to go back and look for heart shaped chocolate. Mary, I want you to move in and create for me every day!

Okay, that does it…I really “need” to make the trip to World Market! These little hearts are fabulous, Mary. Beautiful post, as always.

Darn it, I just used my birthday coupon from World Market to buy napkins and napkin rings. I would have much preferred chocolate heart cups! Your dessert creation looks so decadent! And how appropriate to accompany them with rose petal tea, which I’m sure tastes as wonderful as it looks. Love the beautiful rose themed china against the white tablecloth, and those napkins are so pretty. Thank you for sharing, Mary. It’s just as sweet as can be.

I love your chocolate cups and flowers and tea sandwichs , everything was just so well put together, but then again that is what you do. Thank you!!!

you have just been passed along an award. Please stop by. NO obligations, it’s just to show you how much I appreciate all the work you put into your wonderful blog.

  30. January 29, 2012 at 3:52 pm

Those little heart-shaped chocolate cups are adorable! I’ll have to look for them next time I’m at World Market. I love Republic of Tea teas too. My favorite right now is Earl Greyer with a little lemon juice added. Pretty and romantic table.

  31. January 29, 2012 at 5:24 pm

I LOVE the marble chocolate heart cups! So hoping they will still have some when I get to World Market (85 miles away)! The strawberries and shaved chocolate look so pretty and I like how easy that would be. It looks so impressive. The heart shaped bread idea is neat too. Since I am on a no sugar diet the chocolate is mighty tempting but so far I am resisting. I could fill mine with blueberries and strawberries! At least this diet includes fruit.

    Pretty post as always, Mary.

  32. January 30, 2012 at 12:21 am

    Lovely!

  33. January 30, 2012 at 2:02 am

Hi, Mary. Here’s how much I love your posts–I looked at it on my phone! It was so lovely I couldn’t wait to see it on the big screen! Just lovely, and I can’t believe those darling shells come with the chocolate curls too–too, too cute!! I’ll get my iSi cream whipper going and make some chocolate whipped cream to go in them, a little Villa M sweet, bubbly wine and we’ll have a happy, happy, happy V-day!! Can’t wait!! Thanks for the heads up…I’ll be making my way there soon!

  34. January 30, 2012 at 5:52 pm

Oh my, so beautiful. Your table looks amazing and the chocolates look unreal. Fantastic. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, marty

  35. January 30, 2012 at 6:43 pm

So pretty Mary, of course I am glad I spent days getting this to open on my phone, only to be shocked to see it fft time already!

Love the little cups and all your perfect shots, if this is a warm up to food for thought you got me quaking in my boots! THIS would have been more than enough, oy what gorgeous concoctions must be coming! You know I won’t be peeking until I post mine next week, can’t wait to see what we read :)

  36. January 30, 2012 at 6:58 pm

Beautiful table, everything looks perfect and delicious. Thanks for sharing.

  37. February 1, 2012 at 2:07 am

Your roses are fabulous! The chocolate cups are really pretty too. Ours is about 1 hour away, but these are soooo pretty, I might have to make the trip.

I finished Night Circus! I just loved it. Definitely going to get Chocolate! I will probably always be too far behind, but it sure was fun to read it. I was soooo inspired by your post.

  38. February 2, 2012 at 9:18 am

Love, love, love everything about this post! I’m running to World Market today to see if I can still find these chocolate cups. What a clever idea. I don’t even think I can improve on how you filled the cups! I’m planning to copy you completely! Now I also need to go get a heart-shaped mold for cutting up the tea sandwiches. The table is lovely, too!

  39. February 2, 2012 at 10:44 am

Good morning, Mary! I just LOVE World Market!!! I can stay in that store for hours just looking around and playing with all the stuff! The food selection is really incredible! They always have some of the most unique food offerings. It’s one of those stores that you just never know what you will find!!! There are 3 of them within 25 miles of my house, and I am not shy about visiting them all! You did a beautiful job here, and I love how you were able to get such a clean line on the bread when you cut out the hearts. I really think that using a thinner slice (and a steady hand!) is part of the key to that. The dishes are absolutely beautiful!!! I am partial to pink, so they really speak to me! This is a beautiful table with lots of great details and truly pretty food!

  40. February 2, 2012 at 1:30 pm

What a lovely table! I love the little heart sandwiches. The dessert looks yummy too.
