Perfect for filling with mousse, ice cream, lemon curd or any berries & whipped cream~
I kept it simple and added a tablespoon of Grand Marnier to my whipped cream for a little orange flavor, added some strawberries and garnished with chocolate curls included in the package~
Ideal for a Valentine’s Day served with Rose Petal Tea, I also found at World Market~
And a few heart-shaped tea sandwiches of the chicken salad variety and very thin bread from Pepperidge Farm~ a compromise with white on one side & wheat on the other :)
Table Details:
Dishes/G. Demartine & Cie~ Avenier Limoges
Chargers, Napkins & Teapot/ HomeGoods
Leaf Demitasse Spoons/ Tuesday Morning
Wishing you Hearts, Flowers & Chocolate this Valentine’s Day~ not necessarily in that order :)
What a charming Valentine’s Day tea table, the marbled chocolate cups are delightful and the heart shaped tea sandwiches are so pretty!
Love your Limoges china, classic.
I was just at World Market yesterday. Now it looks like I’ll have to go back and look for heart shaped chocolate. Mary, I want you to move in and create for me every day!
Darn it, I just used my birthday coupon from World Market to buy napkins and napkin rings. I would have much preferred chocolate heart cups! Your dessert creation looks so decadent! And how appropriate to accompany them with rose petal tea, which I’m sure tastes as wonderful as it looks. Love the beautiful rose themed china against the white tablecloth, and those napkins are so pretty. Thank you for sharing, Mary. It’s just as sweet as can be.

The chocolate cups look so intriguing and sparks the imagination for all kinds of wonderful treats…but I must say, yours sounds wonderful and I think I just might have to give that a try. As always, beautiful!
The little chocolate hearts and rose petal tea look like just the thing for Valentine’s day Drat! and I was just at World Market yesterday.. oh golly…I’ll just have to go again. :) Love your little heart shaped tea sandwiches too. What is it about tea sandwiches that make everything seem so “civilized”?

Oh, if we had a World Market, I’d rush there to get those chocolate cups. Every detail is so beautiful, and what a great idea to use the white and wheat slices of bread for those heart shaped sandwiches. It’s just gorgeous!
I love World Market and picked up the Rose Petal Tea, too. But I missed the chocolate! I’ll have to go back. Such a delightful Valentine tea post. Love the hearts!
Oh, I want those chocolate cups!!!!!!!!!! My mouth is watering now. Your presentation is perfect. Our Valentines day will be delayed til we get home. Leaving for Fl. next week (not a fun trip though). XO, Pinky

If only we had a World Market..I would be there in a heartbeat. We were married on Saint Valentine’s Day….they would be perfect for my sweetie.
Hi Mary,Everything looks do Charming and Romantic..loving everything, especially the chocolate hearts. The bread would make such delicate sandwiches to have with tea! Wish I could soak up the afternoon chatter with you and friends. Have a relaxing day. Yvette x
I just came back to enjoy your table again and to let you know that
you have just been passed along an award. Please stop by. NO obligations, it’s just to show you how much I appreciate all the work you put into your wonderful blog.
Those little heart-shaped chocolate cups are adorable! I’ll have to look for them next time I’m at World Market. I love Republic of Tea teas too. My favorite right now is Earl Greyer with a little lemon juice added. Pretty and romantic table.
I LOVE the marble chocolate heart cups! So hoping they will still have some when I get to World Market (85 miles away)! The strawberries and shaved chocolate look so pretty and I like how easy that would be. It looks so impressive. The heart shaped bread idea is neat too. Since I am on a no sugar diet the chocolate is mighty tempting but so far I am resisting. I could fill mine with blueberries and strawberries! At least this diet includes fruit.
Hi, Mary. Here’s how much I love your posts–I looked at it on my phone! It was so lovely I couldn’t wait to see it on the big screen! Just lovely, and I can’t believe those darling shells come with the chocolate curls too–too, too cute!! I’ll get my iSi cream whipper going and make some chocolate whipped cream to go in them, a little Villa M sweet, bubbly wine and we’ll have a happy, happy, happy V-day!! Can’t wait!! Thanks for the heads up…I’ll be making my way there soon!
So pretty Mary, of course I am glad I spent days getting this to open on my phone, only to be shocked to see it fft time already!
Love the little cups and all your perfect shots, if this is a warm up to food for thought you got me quaking in my boots! THIS would have been more than enough, oy what gorgeous concoctions must be coming! You know I won’t be peeking until I post mine next week, can’t wait to see what we read :)
Your roses are fabulous! The chocolate cups are really pretty too. Ours is about 1 hour away, but these are soooo pretty, I might have to make the trip.
I finished Night Circus! I just loved it. Definitely going to get Chocolate! I will probably always be too far behind, but it sure was fun to read it. I was soooo inspired by your post.
Love, love, love everything about this post! I’m running to World Market today to see if I can still find these chocolate cups. What a clever idea. I don’t even think I can improve on how you filled the cups! I’m planning to copy you completely! Now I also need to go get a heart-shaped mold for cutting up the tea sandwiches. The table is lovely, too!
Good morning, Mary! I just LOVE World Market!!! I can stay in that store for hours just looking around and playing with all the stuff! The food selection is really incredible! They always have some of the most unique food offerings. It’s one of those stores that you just never know what you will find!!! There are 3 of them within 25 miles of my house, and I am not shy about visiting them all! You did a beautiful job here, and I love how you were able to get such a clean line on the bread when you cut out the hearts. I really think that using a thinner slice (and a steady hand!) is part of the key to that. The dishes are absolutely beautiful!!! I am partial to pink, so they really speak to me! This is a beautiful table with lots of great details and truly pretty food!
What a lovely table! I love the little heart sandwiches. The dessert looks yummy too.
