In the Pink!

I’m happy to report my friend Carolyn

has finished her radiation and chemotherapy

 and is

IN THE PINK!

We had a long-awaited celebration in her honor

after her completion of treatment

for her diagnosis of Breast Cancer

at my friend Annie’s beautiful home.

Party Favor Bags were adorned

with a label from

 My Own Labels

and a duo of pink ribbons~

My Own Labels  is a great site if you’re not familiar with them!

I’ve used them numerous times for milestone birthdays and had rave reviews for their custom coasters, wine bottle labels, and tags~

The turn around is fast and ordering is easy with the exception of the endless possibilities to choose from~ for bridal and baby showers, graduations, anniversaries, and weddings!

Our party favor bags included

an OPI Shatter Breast Cancer Nail Polish

and a Mini Sofia Blanc de Blancs~

The Minis are portable pink pleasure~

bubbly in a can that comes with a straw :)

Ideal to toast Carolyn’s return

to good health and fitting with her

effervescent & sparkling personality!

As luck would have it, Carolyn’s attire

matched the centerpiece and the gift bags :)

We started the party with

a fun & festive cocktail

to beat the heat

seen in Southern Living, here.

 A frozen fruit bar served

with a splash of Prosecco~

Or for our purposes and Carolyn~ Pink by Yellowglen,

an Australian Sparkling Wine!

We are all so thankful and thrilled

that Carolyn is

In the Pink!

Thank you for your visit, I’m joining:

Little Red House for Mosaic Monday~

Rattlebridge Farm for Foodie Friday~

The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays~

    Dear Mary,
This couldn’t have come at a better time! My friend too, just recently completed chemotherapy for breast cancer. I was planning on having she and 5 other ladies at our lake place for a weekend in September and was beating myself up trying to think of some type of theme, and now I have it! Thank you for all of your posts, as I have been inspired from the first one I read last week (I’m hooked!). You truly have been blessed w/a gift from God.

A beautiful party, a beautiful home and a most beautiful honoree! Congratulations to your dear friend. 1 out of every 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Let’s all celebrate Carolyn’s life by having a mammogram every year!

Mary, this is definitely news to celebrate! All the pink treats and favors are perfect for the occasion. I love to serve those little Sofia champagnes too. I used them for a bridesmaid luncheon I hosted recently. It was a a casual picnic style lunch for the girls as they were getting hair and makeup done for the wedding that evening.
Soooooo are you in this photo? I’ve never seen a photo of you!!!

I just love this post, Mary! What a wonderful reason to celebrate, and what an awesome way to do it. I love every detail, and I stand with you and applaud Carolyn for her grace and courage and God for bringing her to this other side of cancer.

    Congratulations Carolyn!!

What a lovely thing to do. I would have enjoyed something like this so much, and again, and (alas), AGAIN! I think I spent so much time consoling other people during my cancer trifecta that I didn’t take the time to care for myself.

YAY for Carolyn! So glad to hear that she’s on the road to health again. Like many of us, I’ve had people close to me face the same challenge. I’m sure she truly appreciates all of you, as much as you appreciate her. Here’s to the healing power of true friendship. –Lucinda

    Dear Mary,
I am blessed to have such great Friends. You and Annie were so thoughtful to want to do this for me. It does take a team to get one through this and I was lucky to have had this team playing for me.
You had the perfect menu for a hot NC afternoon. The fruit bars in the Proseco were a huge hit and the refreshments were delicious and perfectly presented in sweet little glasses. How can I possibly thank these beautiful women for all the prayers and loving support I was given during my illness.
Gorgous photos Mary. Thank you both again for creating this beautiful memory for me. With Love, Carolyn NC
