We spent the weekend in Charleston, SC~ where it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas~ even if it doesn’t feel like Christmas with 75 degree temperatures.
Charleston is known as The Holy City, due to the numerous church steeples that can be seen rising above the otherwise low-rise skyline.
Religion is deeply embedded in Charleston’s culture~with over 400 places of worship for many denominations, and where 70 different churches and temples are within 7 square miles in the downtown Charleston Peninsula.

Looks like a beautiful place to spend the weekend Mary! It’s funny, our temps have been very mild too and I’m sitting here watching Green Bay play in the snow! Great pics too, especially those two seasonal porkers-thanks for the shout out:@)

I’m in Dallas for a few days. We drove around this evening to view the Christmas lights in the Park Cities. Amazing! Not sure my images will be blog worthy. ;-)

How absolutely gorgeous – a city completely ready for Christmas!
Seriously….one of the most beautiful places on earth at Christmastime! I love it! I also really like the way that ground cover was growing across each step!!! And wouldn’t I love to have some fresh crab right now! It’s like 25 degrees out and crab in warm drawn butter would hit the spot big time!!!!!!
Oh thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures of Charleston, which is my most favorite city in the country. It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to visit and I’d forgotten how beautiful the steeples are. I love visiting their grave yards too and reading all the tomb stones, imagining the history and stories that go with them. Love your post – Cindy
Wow, Charleston really dresses up for Christmas! I was there once and absolutely loved it. Now I need to put it on my bucket list to go there during December. Oh, there are so many places I want to see during December when everything is dressed up so prettily!
