‘Tis the Season to be Jolly

Nothing makes me jollier than

Jolly Old St. Nicholas

and a little sunshine in December!

Well maybe a little shopping at HomeGoods :) 

While we typically use our porch nine months out of the year, it’s been unseasonably warm and perfect for porch dining this December!

Only pine cone and boughs-of-holly napkins,

along with plaid ornaments tied with ribbon

are new additions at the table~

The lanterns, plates, flatware, goblets and coverlet

have been previously used to Deck the Halls

or in this case, the table.

Even pine cone-studded ribbon was

found in my stash of yuletide treasures~

The St. Nick plates are 3-dimensional,

providing a little raised area to tuck

 greenery and pine cones under Nick’s hat.

The sun, like ‘a blazing Yule before us,’

is warming up the table and highlighting the

texture of the red matelasse coverlet used as a tablecloth.

My lanterns are filled with ornaments,

pine cones, nuts and greenery~

and for additional merry measure~

 some candy canes.

The greenery~ Leyland Cypress~ will not leave a sticky or sappy residue while donning your gay apparel, tablecloth, placemats or napkins at the table.
