I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas just like the one in 2010!
I just hope we don’t have to wait another 63 years to see one :)
Cooler temperatures and more seasonal December weather have my thoughts drifting towards a White Christmas~ prompting me to me pull out the snowmen, sprinkle some rock salt on the table and dream there are snowflakes in our forecast!
Noel Flatware from World Market, inspired by warm winter sweaters with its Nordic styling, gave me a warm & fuzzy feeling when I spotted it~ especially at $3.00 a place setting :)
The flatware is tucked in a stocking ornament from Target to keep it warm & cozy at each place setting.
Snowmen are prepared, with shovel-in-hand and wheelbarrow at-the-ready, and will hopefully make for speedy removal of the rock salt on the table :)
Carson Plaid plates from Pottery Barn were scooped up during a flurry of activity of shopping in early December, acquired before they disappeared as quickly as our snow tends to melt.
They are layered with a ‘Tis the Season plate, topping a snowy white charger, both from HomeGoods.
Napkins are also dressed in layers~ a snowflake patterned one from World Market last year, is paired with a plaid one from Pottery Barn this year.
A snowflake napkin ring from Pier 1 adds a little natural texture and blends with the layered chargers~ scalloped from Pier 1 and round from World Market.
Snowy goblets, reminiscent of giant snowflakes are part of the St. Nicholas Square collection and were uncovered at Kohl’s this season.

I love snowmen!!!! There is rain in our forecast, but that’s not unusual — now if the weather folks said SNOW, I’d be shocked! Love the flatware you found at World Market. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
We had a white Christmas in 2010, too!!! I also LOVE the flatware from World Market. It’s so apres ski!!! :D I’m putting together a snowman-themed tabletop this afternoon for a Christmas luncheon on Saturday. I hope it turns out half as cute as yours, Mary!

Oh, I love fat, fluffy snowmen. Your tablescape is so cute. Our chances of snow here in Georgia are slim to none…we have a 40% chance of rain on Christmas Day….maybe next year!!

Hi Mary, I’m hoping for snow too! My family would love to have lunch at this table. The fair isle flatware is so cute in the little stockings! I wish World Market would open here in the Northeast! Those snowmen are hilarious with the shovel and wheelbarrow. We have a very long steep and curvy part to our driveway, and you will often see us out there in snowstorms after our plow guys finish the first round, shovels and wheelbarrow full of salt and ice melt! No help from the snowmen, though! I have been watching those wonderful plaid plates at PB, waiting for the sale and telling myself I don’t need anymore (really, I am running out of places to tuck them when they are not in use). Good morning my friend. I usually wish for a white Christmas but this year we have to travel an hour toour daughters, with sister i tow so am hoping we just get the “light dusting” they are now predicting. That would be pretty and not dangerous. Your table is, once again, fabulous. I love that flatware and went to see if I could get it but it is not available online:( I wish SO much we had a WM up here. We used to but they closed down, I have NO IDEA why, they were quite popular! I am going to see if I can get the goblets, I have been looking for white or clear. Mary, I’ll take the snow on your table to enjoy a White Christmas rather than wish for a snowy Christmas here. It’s supposed to be int he 20s here tonight which means I’ll be out covering things in the garden. Too early for me to deal with this and not how I intended to spend my day. LOL
But we take what Mother Nature sends our way.

Mary, unless we get some warm temperatures we will have snow. We hot 10 inches this week. This table is such a fun table! I just love all the red, and I wish I had a World Market near me because that flatware tucking in the stocking is so adorable. Those snowmen are just soooo sweet! Have the Merriest of Christmases. Anything Nordic in the red/white/snowflake vibe — it gets me every time! I found some cocktail napkins in that style this year, and some years, I see gift wrap. But I have never seen the flatware — gotta check this out!

I love it and think it looks very White Christmasy to me! I think of reds and plaids and wools when I think of white Christmases. We have had a white Christmas EVE in these parts back in ’89, but as I recall I was very busy being a new mother and didn’t appreciate it the way I would now.

Your snowman table is cheerful and so much fun and I love your storage ideas. Hope you get a white Christmas…it’s definitely going to be cold enough tonight..but it guess it also takes snow clouds, Love the things you find at Kohl’s. I went to ours the other day and it was almost picked clean of any Christmas decor. Oh well. guess I waited too long.
