This Valentine’s Day, have your Chocolate and

Drink it Too with a Hugs & Kisses Martini!

While shaking up this cocktail, I searched for a name that was appropriate for Valentine’s Day.

Inspiration came from the candy aisle so I christened this cocktail Hugs & Kisses,

inspired by Hersey’s Hugs~ milk chocolate in a candy kiss that’s ‘hugged’ by white cream.

I had some chocolate flavored vodka languishing in the cupboard,

from a reunion and girls’ weekend a couple of years ago,

to provide the kiss of chocolate. Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur

provides some additional white chocolate and half and half,

the hug of white cream.

Dip the edge of your glass into chocolate syrup

and add some heart candy rimmer

Wilton micro hearts are ideal to

sprinkle on Brownie Truffles too.

Place your rimmed glass in the freezer to chill.

Add your chocolate syrup to the inside of the glass and immediately

return it to the freezer to help your chocolate drizzle firm up.

For your Hugs & Kisses Martini (and 6 ounce glass) add 1 1/2 ounces Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur

and 1 1/2 ounces of Chocolate Vodka to a cocktail shaker with ice.

Add 2 1/2 ounces of half and half, shake well and pour into your chilled glass.

Only you Mary could come up with another awesome holiday-inspired cocktail! I made the candy cane infused martini at Christmastime and it was such a hit!
Hope you’re staying warm and safe from the ice storm.

My favorite part is the chocolate drizzle decorating the inside of the martini glass, Mary! How pretty is that? It makes the sipping extra special. xo

Well, since my maiden name was Martini, I just HAVE to make this for V’s!!~! Plus it looks so fabulous, the chocolate drizzle puts it in a (g)class of it’s own! Hoping you don’t get clobbered with this storm. It will start here around 9Pm tonight and snaow all day tomorrow:(:( SNOW,SNOW GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m enjoying your Valentine’s Day posts as we keep having winter weather advisories and warnings…..I haven’t had the opportunity to do much for the big day yet *sadface* so I’m enjoying what you’ve been doing, Mary!

Are y’all in the storm’s path?

  9. February 12, 2014 at 10:35 am

Wow, this is striking! Pretty and festive. Pinning away.

I would love one of these later by the fire while we are watching the snow falling yet again~ I don’t have any Hershey’s hugs & kisses, but I do have chocolate vodka, Godiva white chocolate and cream! Brilliant tip to place the glass in the freezer to set the drizzle~ I will keep my fingers crossed, as I am sipping away, that Mother Nature is kind to you and that you don’t loose power~

Hi Mary. I don’t like Martinis but I think I would like this one. And it looks so pretty too! Are you getting this same storm up at the lake as we are here in Charlotte. The snow has let up but it is sort of sleeting now :(

    • February 12, 2014 at 4:49 pm

Hi Rhondi, My husband works in Charlotte, which had more snow than us, ours was later starting but we’re catching up. It’s still coming down, as long as it’s not ice we’re good! We’re one of only three houses on a line here, so if the power goes out it’s not a priority to have it restored. Stay warm :)

I do not even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post
was great. I do not know who you are but definitely you are going to a famous
blogger if you are not already ;) Cheers!

  15. February 12, 2014 at 8:34 pm

Mary, you come up with the most enticing libations but this one has to be my favorite! Pinning so I can make this later when I’m not on a diet!

  16. February 12, 2014 at 10:03 pm

You make the greatest drinks Mary!…I can just imagine how yummy they are and beautiful too!…pinned away!!

  17. February 13, 2014 at 10:01 am

Dipping the rims in those darling sprinkles was inspired! This looks divine — and dangerous!

  18. February 13, 2014 at 6:43 pm

This is something I can enjoy 365 days a year!!! Not that I would…:-)

  19. February 13, 2014 at 9:31 pm

I don’t drink, but that sure looks delicious!
If it doesn’t stop snowing soon, I may have to take up drinking to get me through! :)
