Waterlogue allows you to create a watercolor painting
from a photo on your phone with the push of a button,
instead of a paintbrush. . .
The Waterlogue app is $2.99 and compatible
with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
I don’t generally buy apps but this was one
was as hard to resist as a bunch of daffodils :)
To say it’s a little addictive
is an understatement. . .
These photos were in my blog media library rather than on my phone. I saved them to my iPad and used the app to ‘paint’ them. You can then save your watercolored photos and share them with the app.
I don’t have this app, but I would use it because watercolors frustrate me. That’s why I paint in oils! Fun pictures! But 5:30 came waaaaaay to early this morning. Yuck!
That is one addicting app! I want to get some things turned to canvas. Such a cheap way for some original art. I still have about five clocks to change.
Good morning an hour early today, Mary! I always love “fall-ing back” but I’m not so fond of “spring-ing ahead!” I am intrigued by this app and although I rarely purchase one I will definitely add this to my phone or iPad. Your waterlogued shots really do look like watercolors! Linda
p.s. I can’t wait to see what kind of Spring inspiration you have for us tomorrow~~I’m SO ready for it this year!! And I’m also looking forward to the next Novel Bakers week so can you get on that please in between all your other wonderfully creative projects? hehehe :) :) Linda
i see us as twins again, i would adore this app, if i could steal my husbands ipad… i am to old to enjoy on my cell, but i am wild over all your new art~
I love love love this app, I’ve only had it for a couple weeks and never have enough time to play with it! Endless possibilities, and I want to use it for laying out paintings too. As I’ve told you before, you are an artist with your camera Mary, and now doubly so! Looking forward for the Spring fun!

I loved seeing your gorgeous photos in “watercolor”…Have you actually had them printed?…I love the one with the “iconic” adirondack chair by the lake…If it were in a gallery, I would buy it!!! Glad you are having fun with this app!
Just gorgeous, just waiting for PicMonkey to get in gear with this!! Sadly I don’t use my iphone or ipad for much picture taking. those daffodils are amazing!!
Mary, isn’t this fun? I don’t have many apps on my phone, but this one I use frequently. It is addictive. My husband even bought it for his iPad. Love, love, love your daffodils. I’ve got the clocks reset, but it will take awhile for my body to reset. At least we woke to some sunshine today. The weekend was so wet and cold, all I wanted to do was hibernate.
Happy Spring! Looking forward to your next post full of inspiration.
I will have to try this app. I have seen Kim’s pictures, she LOVE this app. I love your pictures. It would be so neat to have one made into a canvas for the wall!!!
How fun!!! I don’t use any of those iPhone, iPad, and iPod gadgets so won’t be able to use this app! Wish it was available through the computer like PhotoShop!!!
Everyone’s been having so much fun with this app! I love it Mary! Your paintings all turned out great, but of course you started with some pretty amazing pics to begin with-have fun:@)
Good morning! I will need to to buy that app. I am a crafter and quiter and love to creat. Have a great day☀🌴
I don’t usually buy apps either, but I think I’m going to have to make an exception here. These photos are charming.

Hi Maureen, The clock is from Timeworks from my retail days. I’ve had it about 15 years :)

Would love to have this for my ipad. I use the Photoscape watercolor option but it doesn’t have the same effect.
~Mary~
I love this !! Can the pictures then be printed out for framing ??

Beautiful Mary! I love this app and have wanted to play with it for months now.
