Dear Mary, I have followed you for a few years. My husband and I tried your candy cane chocolate martini all went well until we rimmed the glass. How did you get the peppermint to stick to glass? We used water …sticky mess, then used vodka …still not great. We are having friends for drinks in a few days and thought we better try ahead so they will enjoy thanks Nancy

Rimming those glasses is a little tricky and messy, the finer the peppermint is crushed the better it sticks. I poured some of the candy cane vodka in a saucer and set the glass upside down in it, then placed the glass in a saucer with the crushed peppermint and twirled it around. Try dipping your glass in the white chocolate liqueur since it’s a little thicker to help the peppermint adhere better and do your rimming in advance of mixing your cocktails so they have a chance to set up.
