Amazing Gracie ****.* by Dan Dye and Mark Beckloff
I’m joining Jain with my Edible Book Review at Food for Thought, where pages from your book magically mix with the kitchen and your camera~
And Jenny Matlock for Alphabe-Thursday~ this week’s letter assignment is the letter G.
I ran across this book when I had searched for A Dog’s Purpose on Amazon~ it popped up with ‘other readers also purchased this book’. A dangerous suggestion for me :-)
Since I have my own Gracie, I immediately read the reviews & got a copy. I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet, heartwarming tail :-) that was a quick read, written by the founders of Three Dog Bakery.
That little pirate is too cute..You could sell those doggie treats:) Good show!
Those are fabulous treats for sweet Gracie & Chloe! It’s an early Halloween at your house, Mary! :)
I absolutely love this post!! I think I’ll have to pick up a copy of that book…seeing as it seems to be quite good for bichons!!! Gracie and Chloe look so cute!!! Love the little pirate hat!!
Your Gracie is too cute for words! Love the pirate hat!
The illustrations in this book are darling, but your added little three D details really make it total delight. I’m adding this book to my list of gifts for a few friends this Christmas. ~ Sarah
Can’t wait to read this book. Gracie and Chloe are so lucky to have a mom who cooks for them. Happy Halloween!!!
oh you are shaming me with these doggie books, how will i ever do duncan justice? and for a moment i thought you self published and the sequel for chole is coming soon!
that video was fantastic, i am all primed now for your doggie delish post! so heart warming to read about them adopting gracie.
your gracie is a beauty queen! those must be some delish cookies, you can SEE THE JOY! the cookies are just adorable all spread out so tantalizing in the book, you KNOW jasper would be eating the book along with the treats…
the cupcakes are too cute for dogs! but that pirate shot would have me hanging over a millions bucks! and cupcakes~ look how dainty, there are crumbs and small bites, so not the way jas eats!
omg did i love this! you just do everything so well, i feel elated when i come here!
Another delightful post. Gracie is too cute for words! She does look like she’s speaking “pirate” in that one particular picture. I laughed out loud when I saw that.
Mary, I am cracking up at all your wonderful play on words! “Bone Appetit!”
“a 5 cookie rating”, “Howl-O-Ween” LOL
Your poochies are precious & the photos of all the treats are magnificent. Such a fun review…BRAVO!
I read this post to Rory, who has asked for this book in his Christmas stocking!
Gracie makes a wonderful little pirate. I enjoyed your review of the Gracie book and I have a friend who would love that cookbook! Have a wonderful week.
Gracie is a real cutie! What a great post and I enjoyed your review.
Gracie is a sweetie as a pirate. :)
Gracie looks so adorable with her pirate hat! What a cutie!
What a fun post–so much to read and see…if our doggie was still alive I might consider baking her such a treat. Your little dog is so sweet!
What a brilliant post!
Some years ago i had a Bision (Cozette) Cozy for short!
What lover she was. Great ideas for the treats!
Fantastic post!
Great post! I used to watch their show on Food Network! Your little Pirate is adorable!
In case I would have a dog it would be a bison or a australian shephard.
I fall in love with your two friends! Very nice post!
Great post. Hugs to big Gracie.
This post is just tooooo precious. Gracie and Chloe are so dear. They are very lucky little children to have someone to bake them such yummy treats. Your photos put a big smile on my old face tonight.
Aw, what a cutie she is!!! Your treats are beautiful. I’ll bet they would be a real hit in your local pet store! :)
Such a cutie! Love this post!
XOXO Lola:)
We had a Bichon once. He looked exactly like your gracie.

The treats look wonderful. I bet the dogs inhale them. The books sound great.
What an excellent G post. I don’t have the cookbook, but I have made a couple of different dog treats, and the dogs really do love them! Your Gracie is so very cute!
This is a dog gone cute post! Thanks for sharing the story today. Anne
I really enjoyed this post. I have my own collection of dog books and stories…and my own collection of 5 rescued canines.
A pooch would have to be crazy not to like these treats! Yours are adorable. A fine multiple meme post.
What a perfect post! And I loved the book quotes. Both sound delightful! And touching.
=)
PS. How cute is your little pirate? ;)
What a GGGGrrreat link to Alphabe-Thursday! I loved this. And you gave me some Christmas ideas for my daughter and step-d! They are both dog lovers and enjoy making dog treats!
This story sounds wonderful and I really enjoyed the quotes.
Thank you for linking.
This is a ginarmously great “G” post!
A+
That book sounds like a really heartwarming tale. I think I’d enjoy it a lot.
Wonderful, wonderful pictures! A++++
Gracie is a lucky pooch – some of those treats looked good enough to eat…
That book about the albino dog does sound wonderful. I’m afraid if I started baking for the dog the human members of this family wouldn’t think it was fair since I never bake for them. :)
Mary, I’m so glad I found you this week. This was such a delight to read. All your pictures just sparkle with joy.
I ambled over here from your current post and enjoyed reading and seeing such adorable photos. I really miss Jain’s Edible Book Review posts. I always investigated every book she mentioned.
