I found this idea on Pinterest, searching for a way to use my surplus of chocolateand a Valentine’s Day treat for my husband’s office ~
Pillsbury (or ready-made pie crust), two sizes of heart-shaped cookie cutters, Dove Heart Chocolates, an egg (for egg wash) and powdered sugar~ all the ingredients you need for pie crust pillows of chocolate!
The only way to improve on Dove Chocolate~ wrapped in pastry and sprinkled with powdered sugar and warm from the oven!
Tasty & tempting room temperature too~ trust me :)
I got approximately 12 heart pillows out of each pie crust.
You can find the step by step directions here from the pinned source~
And a few special PROMISES® messages under the wrapper from DOVE® for Valentine’s Day. . .
These look sooo delicious (I haven’t had breakfast yet) and now I’m really hungry. :) Not just delicious, but beautiful, too. Thanks for sharing; I’ve been trying to decide what to fix for my sweetheart hubby.
Would you like to meet for lunch sometime? I live just outside of Winston-Salem, so we’re not that far apart. There are so many wonderful bloggers that I’d love to meet, and most live far away. I wanted to e-mail you , but couldn’t find an e-mail address. Anyway, it’s just a thought. My e-mail is on my Blogger Profile.
So adorable Mary, sweet way to start my day. Wishing you a very happy valentines day, I may be winging it solo and will manage to live on chocolate morning noon and night ;-)
Just saw Maggie’s Emily and einstein, it’s so good I am getting embarrassed of mine :-0
