I have an affinity for Brown Sugar~ in cookies, spice cakes, and crumble toppings~ but especially in the summer if I can’t feel the sand between my toes. . .
I pretend I’m beach side~ substituting sugar for sand~ the texture ideal for sculpting turtles, shells, sand castles and even mermaids!

Thank you so much for a staggeringly beautiful post which included some amazing photographs of one of my favourite places to visit, Beaufort SC. We try and take a fall break in HHI each year and a drive over to Bewfort for lunch is always a treat.

gosh did i need this… its 108 degrees here today, so looking forward to getting back to the cool beach, but for now i can skinny dip in your seaside realm. i need to find me a mermaid mold too, that is right up my sandy webbed toes~

I have loved the brown sugar sand on your tables. It’s so creative, and I think it’s really the ONLY way I’ve ever seen a table be completely beachy without have the yukky real sand on it. My very favorite application is the mold to look like a sand castle.
