Easter Table Inspiration: Tussie Mussie Napkins

I found some Easter table and napkin inspiration in the March/April issue of Southern Lady Magazine~

Napkin-Turned-Tussie-Mussie!

Fun for dressing up white dishes and providing your family & guests with a few Easter treats!

You’ll want to use a solid color or a reversible-patterned napkin, since both the front and the back will be visible when you create your Tussie Mussie.

There are a couple of methods to create

your Napkin Tussie Mussies.

The first way and a little more challenging:

Fold your napkin into a square.

Fold down one corner to create a cuff. Flip napkin over and roll into a cone shape. Tuck your ends and tie with a ribbon.

Your finished Tussie Mussie will hold its shape better if you use a napkin/fabric that has some body or iron your napkin.

The fun part is filling your

Tussie Mussies with goodies. . .

Candy or decorative eggs and chocolate carrots tucked in among decorative paper shred or Easter grass. . .

Include a chocolate wrapped

Easter Greeting. . .

Or fill them with flatware

or add a few flowers. . .

The second & easy way:

Use a solid napkin with a decorative trim or edge. Fold napkin in half and then roll into a cone shape.

 Fill Tussie Mussie with shred or Easter grass to hold the shape and treats!

You can provide an extra napkin for your guests so the Tussie Mussie stays wrapped and keeps the grass contained during your meal :)
