Peeps celebrate their 60th Anniversary this year!
I found special anniversary packages at Target.
My love of Peeps rivals my love of potatoes~
the difference however is I don’t play with
my potatoes and I don’t eat my Peeps. . . :)
I’m happy however to buy them, decorate with them, serve them & give them away!
Apparently I’m not alone since others buy them to play with as well as eat, with 5 million Peeps hatched daily in the Just Born plant in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
I can’t resist their holiday
shapes and colors. . .
I like them as swizzle sticks
for a Peeptini. . .
or Lemonade for
a Bunny Picnic.
As a decorative
topper in a trifle.
As a marshmallow
in hot chocolate. . .
For candy skewers in vases for
Halloween Treats. . .
As Brownie S’mores. . .
In a flag formation for a patriotic salute
for Independence Day!
Or in a
Patriotic Twizzler Nest!
Brownie bites also make a
perfect nest for a Peep!
Bake brownie bites in a mini muffin pan for 12- 15 minutes
(liberally spray your pan with cooking spray).
Pipe with frosting and attach your Peep!
PEEPS® Fun Facts:

#1 non-chocolate brand at Easter for over 20 years.
Yellow is America’s best selling color
of PEEPS® chicks and bunnies.
Express your Peepsonality and discover all
the fun things you can do with Peeps
in this commercial :)

What a great tribute to Peeps! Haha- your ideas are delightful and the ad is too cute!
Loved the Peeps video!! So cute. I had no idea Peeps had bunnies and Halloween candy too (apparently not here in Canada!). Nor, did I know one could do so many things with them. I ate my first Peeps last year. Can you believe it? And I’m 2 years older than they are! That was a sweet post. Hugs, Pamela
LOL I love the commercial! *AND* I love your Peeps posts! I copy most of them because Shanley Belle is obsessed with Peeps! ;P We’ve had a terribly stressful week, but I’m determined to decorate for Easter after Palm Sunday service….I guess it’s better late than never!
xo,
RJ
Good Morning!! I just found you yesterday, as I was looking for seashell inspired dinnerware. google popped up a post from 2011 that you had made a tablescape with beautiful blue dishes and talked about sea turtles. That was amazing!! I love sea turtles and their stories!! What amazing creatures! Thanks for your lovely blog! So happy to have found you!
Oooo, I’ve never seen or heard of these before being from England, they look delicious and so cute!
I have to get some of those speckled peeps and keep them forever! They do last forever, they just get hard as rocks. Love all the different ways you have used them for each season. xo
Mary, you are the Queen of Peeps! Peeps just create instant smiles! So many fun clever ways you have used them throughout the holidays! The anniversary ones are truly adorable, I love your presentation with the jelly bean “eggs”!

Love this post…it’s a peep show! lol
Love all your Peeps displays. Such fun ideas.
Though I don’t eat Peeps, my 3 sons, Love them.
Thanks for sharing.
Mary, loved the video. Peeps need to hire you for an ad. I think you must be the Queen of Peeps. Each presentation is stellar. It’s such fun to see how you play with your Peeps. I think a trip to Target is on my agenda today. ‘-)
Happy Dancing for Peeps! :D
What a fun Anniversary Tribute! Great job Mary!
I love the sprinkly colors of the anniversary Peeps Mary! I picked up the Party Cake ones because they had the sprinkly colors too, but they were teal not white. Like you, I buy them every year to play with, don’t really eat them:@)
Well, they certainly are cute, as are the kids in the ad. I don’t think they’re quite as popular here as south of the border, but I have seen them here.
What a great idea to decorate things with Peeps! I can say I’ve never actually eaten one, but they do look great in your pictures! :)
Up until last year when I finally came out and confessed in a public forum, Peeps were my secret guilty pleasure…

I love all of the creative ways in which you use them, Mary…We don’t find many of the unusual and special ones here…
Amazing commercial! I love the new anniversary pastel speckled peep. You have made all of them delightful. !
Love your egg cups! Darling muffin liners too.
My youngest children (now 18 & 21) always have had 3 three things in their Easter baskets amongst other things that change year to year: 1. a can of Pringles chips, 2. a toothbrush (which they love, not.), and Peeps. This year I found a package that included a “stuffed animal” bunny Peep (purple for daughter, yellow for son) and 2 pkgs of 4 ea. candy bunny Peeps. They were a hit! BTW, a couple of years ago we had to search several stores to find any Peeps! (I mean the Easter Bunny had to!) There must have been a shortage that year. It was a moment of terror for me.
So cute, love the Peeps commercial, my grandson ran right over to my computer when he heard the commercial. So many ideas of ways to use Peeps. I’m going back to see if I can find these anniversary Peeps. My grandsons have already eaten the Peeps I used in my post this week. Thanks, as always, you inspire me!!
Hi Mary!! Wow, I have actually found someone who adores PEEPS as much as I do!! I just love playing with Peeps too!! You have done such an awesome job with all of these…and now I am going to Target to see if I can find some Anniversary Peeps!! Happy Sunday and Hugs to Chloe and Gracie!! xo Jeanne
Love this post, you have brightened my day and made me think of Spring even though it’s very cold outside!
Blessings,
Gert
you could be the peeps national spokesperson, wait, make that international, may as well travel the world spreading your good cheer~
Happy 60th Peepaversary to Peeps around the world!.
Cute post, Mary!
OMG… this is one of my favorite posts of yours. Sent your link to all my non-blogging buds….
Oh how I wish we had them here in Australia!! I have often read about ‘Peeps’ on blogs and now I know the full story. Thankyou so much for sharing that. Now if only I could share some peeps!!
Suzyq
I don’t think I have ever eaten a Peep in my life! Isn’t that crazy?!??!?!! I’m not sure I’ve ever even bought any, to tell the truth. For shame! For shame! :-(
I love peeps also but can’t have them due to sugar intake. A lady that worked for me LOVED them and her Bday is in March so I made a cake and put them all over the top and she loved that. You have given me some great ideas. Many thanks and it was a great post.
Have a super week.
Mary
You put such a great twist on everything!
Wonderful to have you be a part of SEASONAL SUNDAYS!
– The Tablescaper
Finally there is a Peep I will eat. I love the Vanilla Creme speckled ones! Amazing commercial, and you have done Peeps proud in every season.
Even tho I consider myself a big Peeps fan, I did NOT know it was their 60th anniversary this year. AND I have not seen that adorable commercial. It reminds me of Bubba in “Forrest Gump” describing all the ways to make shrimp. It is on my bucket list to go to the “Peep Drop” on New Year’s Eve in Bethlehem, PA. Thanks for sharing all YOUR ways to use Peeps!
You are definitely the “Queen of Peeps”….you have truly shown that “Peeps Rock”!!…Happy 60th Peeps!
Where do you come up with this great stuff! Creative to the core, Mary!
I love very very stale and hard ones… weird, I know!
Very cute! Easter greetings from Australia♥ ~Pernilla
Even though I’m not a big fan of the taste of Peeps I do love their whimsy. Of course there are some on my kitchen counter waiting to be placed in something Easter-y :)
Mary, this is fun and beautiful, I must have missed your Halloween Peeps–so festive and creative. I remember the Teeny Peeps, which I adore. I couldn’t resist buying blue Peeps this year, but I ate them before inspiration struck. Argh. I’m eating Jelly Bellies now and wish I could stop.
Have a delicious Easter!
