Flaunting their Plaiditude

April 6th is National Tartan Day!

I had every intention of setting a table in celebration but it’s been a busy two weeks with Easter.

My wee bonnie lasses joined the Tartan Parade in blogland last year, so I’m flaunting their plaiditude again this year in celebration!

Chloe & Gracie are Mad for Plaid and joining the Tartan Parade to celebrate National Tartan Day April 6th!

They love a good cookie parade and

were begging to join in the fun :)

Sporting plaid knit sweaters much too warm

for the weather~ they agreed to

a little bribery modeling . . .

There are plenty of treats for

plaid-wearing-pups and parade attendees!

You can help yourself to a cupcake here.

With plaid cupcake liners for your

party or parade available here.

Chloe & Gracie were hoping to don an authentic tartan from

 The Heelan’ Hound~

the preferred tartan clothier of discriminating canines.

And join the ranks of Clan MacHowl~ the honorary clan for dogs who wear distinctive tartan dog fashions.

You can select tartan swatches from The Heelan’ Hound~ with over 500 authentic Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Canadian and military tartans available.

They’re keeping their paws crossed that they can sport an authentic kilt-coat next year :)

Plaid Blanket/ Crate & Barrel

Plates/ Ralph Lauren Skylar Rose/ HomeGoods

Woven Chargers/ World Market

Chloe & Gracie wish you Happy National Tartan Day and encourage you to flaunt your plaiditude!

Thank you for your visit, I’m joining:

Those 2 have the most precious faces-they are just too cute and I bet they are thinking that they should be featured more often!

TOO Cute! As much as I love everything you post and all your photography, I will admit that I would read your blog everyday even if it was just posts about your pooches :)
Happy Tartan Day — make it a great one!

Mary, seems we all had good intentions but too little time. The 4 of us that hosted the Tartan Parade last year, all had other commitments that kept us from hosting a parade this spring. Perhaps next year. ‘-)
You know I could revisit any post of yours again and again. A real treat to open up my computer this morning and see these two sweet girls. I need to get Sadie a fun sweater.
Happy Tartan Day to you and the girls!

Oh my gosh – just the name of your post is so cute!! Then Chloe and Gracie look so adorable!! They pose for you!! My dog runs when I point the camera her way – we have tons of pictures of her sleeping. Love the Tartans!! That photo of the girls up on the blanket in front of the water is the cutest!!

  34. April 10, 2013 at 10:30 pm

OK, this is how invested I got in this: I’m looking at the dogs and how cute they look in their little sweaters…and suddenly I wonder if THEY’RE SCHOOL UNIFORMS!!!!!!! Have a I completely lost my mind??!?!??! I think the answer to that is a resounding YES!!! :-) They just look so cute though, and their ears looks like little ponytails…you can understand my temporary insanity, right??!?! :-) Great idea to put the treats on the plate to get them to cooperate! They did a fine job of modeling! They could be Ralph Lauren models in their tartan plaids!!!

  35. April 10, 2013 at 10:34 pm

Those are two VERY cute doggies in two VERY cute outfits!!! How sweet! I just love their fluffy faces!!! Hope you had a great “Tartan Day”! Thanks for sharing!! =D
