Patriotic Pretzel Popcorn Crunch

Patriotic Pretzel Popcorn Crunch

Patriotic Pretzel Popcorn Crunch is a sweet & salty combination of white chocolate covered popcorn, pretzels, nuts, red and blue milk chocolate candies.

Quick and easy to throw together at the

last minute for July 4th holiday snacking!

I found Snyder’s Patriot-Shaped Pretzels at the grocery store~ limited edition patriotic pretzels in the shapes of flags, stars and liberty bells!

I followed the same procedure as with my Halloween popcorn blend, but sprinkled some All American nonpareils on the white chocolate coated popcorn while the coating was still warm.

Start with 5 cups of popped popcorn.

You’ll need 12 oz. of white candy coating or baking chips.

I used Ambrosia White Bark Coating since that was what was at my grocer’s, but any vanilla almond bark, white chocolate chips or candy melts will work.

Melt chocolate according to package directions and toss in a large bowl with your popcorn.

Spread the coated popcorn on a wax paper or parchment lined baking sheet(s) to cool and set. If you want to add decorative red & blue sprinkles, add them while the candy coating is still warm.

You can place your baking sheet(s) in the refrigerator to speed up the setting process.

Once your cooled popcorn is set, break into chunks, stir in red & blue chocolate candies, and mix in some nuts and pretzels.

You can adjust your candy coating-to-popcorn ratio, add more or fewer nuts & pretzels, add some cereal~ chex or cheerios~ to your popcorn blend.

Exercise your Independence and toss

in anything salty or sweet!

Store in an airtight container~

serve in decorative pails, bags, or cups!

Good Afternoon Mary, Funnily enough I bought my first bag of pretzels last weekend…. I have never eaten them before and I loved them. I love the idea of chocolate covered popcorn…. it is so wicked, but sounds delicious.
I think I shall be making this pretzel, popcorn crunch…. not too much though as I think I will over indulge.
Have a wonderful 4th July holiday.
    Best Wishes
