I’m at the table with a botanically inspired celebration
of green and Mikasa Daylight Dinnerware.
Mikasa Daylight appealed to me when I first saw it with its fresh, crisp design. I loved the vibrant green leaves. . . a shade that reminds of the first tender growth of spring.
You can see the versatility of this pattern, paired with Lilacs and with Birds & Bees.
Leaves trail across the contoured plates, wind their way inside bowls, and curve around the surface of the tea cups~ a wonderful way to celebrate nature indoors or out.
A vase is filled with the last of the gardenia blooms as a centerpiece, and served on a pasta bowl.
And chopsticks add a little floral detail
and color, paired with rice bowls.
I alternated views of the place settings~
One version with rice bowls on the salad plates, with their sloped rims and raised interiors . . .
And another~ with gardenia-blooming teacups and saucers on the dinner plates . . .
Both versions are set with 13 inch green chargers.
A 42 ounce coffee server is
modern and sleek in design~
With a loop handle that adds to the form,
function, and durability.

Love the cool colors in this hit weather! Where did you find the green chargers?
Love the cool colors in this hot weather! Where did you find the green chargers?
The chargers are Mikasa Daylight!
Beautiful as always! I see your hydrangea blooming in the background.
Mary, how delightful it would be to dine by the lake at this beautiful table that you’ve set. I’m a green fanatic so I love this pattern! Have I ever told you that when we lived in Mt. Pleasant that there was a Mikasa outlet and shipping facility on Daniel Island? Needless to say, I bought a lot of things there!
*Swoon*…I’m in LOVE! How pretty that bright, acid green color looks with all your lovely napkins & tablecloth, Mary! I’m enthralled with the shape of that coffee server, although I’d put tea in it instead. LOL
Your gardenia blooms bring back fond memories of the HUGE bushes of them I had on either side of our pool lanai in FL. Oh the smell….DH says they remind him of prom.
Thank you for sharing this lovely table setting. You do a great job for Lifebrands!
Hugs,
Rett
Love the Mikasa china. So pretty and fresh looking. Great for showing off a beautiful meal. I love how you put everything together . Such a beautiful table!
What a pretty, fresh pattern! I love bright green. Your gardenia centerpiece is so pretty, too, and I like the gardenias with the Mikasa.
Have a great week!

The dishes are very pretty Mary! Lovin’ the great, bold linen print too! Happy Monday:@)
I loved the gardenia vase today. I have the perfect candle holder to make one. Thank you for all your ideas.
These dishes are soo beautiful. I love the sleek modern lines. Looking back at “lilacs”‘ the tea pot is just as beautiful as the coffee server. You put everything together so gorgeously. What a lovely place to dine! :)
Mary, you outdid yourself with this table setting!👏 will have to go to Target for the linens! That is my style!
Beautiful setting.
Mary, this is really eye-catching and lovely! I absolutely love your linens!!! You’ve arranged these dishes so beautifully, and I love your gardenia centerpiece and tea cups. Also love the PB napkin rings! As always, it’s an extra bonus to see the beautiful lake in the background of your pictures. :)
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Let’s EAT!! franki
Mary, I LOVE your gardenia centerpiece. I am always blown away with your creativity!
Your gardenias are gorgeous….I can almost smell them. Your post is making me want to head to my fav garden center and buy their huge gardenia bush to plant it outside my bedroom window, so I can smell it at night…it was $200! LOL
Beautiful table, you have a gift!
Love my Daylight too. It’s so versatile with classic lines. Really like what you did with the patterned tablecloth! xo marlis
Mary, not only did you set a gorgeous table with Mikasa Daylight, but your beautiful way with words in describing each piece makes this read like poetry. Everything you do is with incredible grace and style. Who wouldn’t want to linger at this table taking in the fragrance of the gardenias, the beauty of the details, and your gorgeous lakeside setting. ~ Sarah

Your tablescapes are such food for the eye, and inspiration. I have a weekend trip coming up to a cabin on Mt Baker with cousins, and hope I can come up with something similarly lovely for the brunch I am making.
So beautiful, Mary. I of course am a huge fan of Mikasa. Have collected it for years and years!
I see I should make a trip to Target. It’s been awhile since I was there! You are inspiring me to visit and see what I’ve been missing. The cloth and napkins are wonderful!
I admired them the first time you featured them…they have not lost any of the appeal…beautifully paired with the linens and flowers…So refreshing!
As usual this is beautifu. You do always set the most amazing tables. Hugs, Marty
The gardenias look stunning with this china, looove the centerpiece! The green chargers really make the china pop and it all looks so at home in your garden setting with the rattan chargers and napkin rings. As much as I like the rice bowls with chop sticks, the gardenia in the cup is delightful!
Jenna
Love all these colors especially for a summer lunch!

Gert

I am just getting the last of my gardenia blooms too, I think,
.I love how you have used them for the centerpiece. The dishes are beautiful but even more so in your awesome tablescape.
What a beautifully set table. I love how you continued the foliage theme into the settings! Sunning!
This is anew color scheme for you and you have developed it beautifully. I especially like the gardenia presentation. I have a hard time using them inside and am always looking for new ideas.
I hope you are getting some good boat time in between tablescapes!
Unfathomably beautiful, Mary!!!!!! You really bring out the calm in this table. I didn’t get the chargers when I worked with Mikasa. Hmmmm….oversight? Oh, well…they’re beautiful here (the depth of the color is astounding!) and add a lot to the look. LOVE that coffee pot!!!!!!!! LOVE IT!!! The gardenias are a wonderful touch, too!!!
Oh Mary, the Mikasa Daylight is beautiful and can be used in so many tablescapes. But the tablecloth is just stunning, I can’t stop looking at each detail in the pattern. I have loved gardenias for years and years and have had several pots of them to enjoy.
Absolutely gorgeous! That china pattern is so pretty and looks fantastic in the t’scape you’ve created. Your centerpiece is perfect – love the addition of the stones inside.

Ooh my, Mary, I love this pattern. It’s so timeless and beautiful and you’ve displayed it perfectly. Love the centerpiece!!
I would have never even looked at this pattern, yet your table looks fabulous. Your talent of bringing the right pieces together is phenomenal.
What a crisp Mikasa pattern, and it looks great with the tablecloth. I just checked and my Target has the tablecloth! Yay!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is an award winning and stunning tablescape. Oh you design such amazing tabletops. Love this.
Oh, this is one of my favorites of all your tables, Mary. Just gorgeous…all that leaf green…
Have a wonderful week…
Love the leaved dishes with the chopsticks askew on top. Love the gardenia centerpiece! So fitting with the dishes… :-) What an interesting choice to pair with a floral underpinning. It really makes the whole thing more complex. Quite lovely!
Beautiful table! I love how your green and white contrast combination stand out against the floral table cloth. Don’t you find it hard sometimes to make anything but solid stand out against prints? You did it, though! I love your Mikasa – so fresh and clean. Your bowl of gardenias reminds me of the book, “Gardenias for Breakfast”. That tea pot is the stunning and stylish star of all! :-)
You have a Lovely blog!
Lovely! I’m looking for that Threshold botanical print all over and can’t find any – if you’ve moved on to something else, I’d love to make you an offer! :)
