I was at the new Homegoods store in Plattsburgh, NY (gorgeous) and wish I had seen that charming apple bucket ;o) I guess I can use the money I saved and buy apples! LOL
The fresh apples are a true sense of fall. Beautiful table scape! Made pumpkin crunch cake and made the house smell so good! Eat drink and be scary was an article featured in Real Simple for October👻🎃

What a great job you did on Kathleen’s apple challenge, Mary! I love the apple bucket, filled to the brim, and those apple plates are wonderful. I have that same quilt on my bed, under a floral comforter. Of course, all you accessories are perfect… the canning jars, the antique flatware, and then your fabulous view for dining. xo

What size do you buy your quilts for use as table covers and picnic blankets? I know some of it depends on the table you plan to use, but what size do you generally purchase?
I have some Full/Queen and some King that I interchange for the table and on beds :)

Once again we are creating tables with the same theme at the same time. Of course, as of now, my table is still in the “planning” stage. And, I don’t have a blog so I can’t share my tables with all of you wonderful tablescapers. But, I very much enjoy looking at each and every one of your tables, and am constantly impressed by how creative you are and the lovely photographs that you share. I am a Home Goods stalker, and somehow missed that wonderful bucket. I saw the little apple plates that you purchased, but never found the right number so I opted for the little red apple bowls by Chantel. Perhaps seeing your table will be the needed encouragement to finish my apple table. Thank you. MM

Very cute! I almost bought that bucket – but I think you did it much better than I ever would have!!! The outdoors is such a perfect setting for an apple table, and your red checks are the perfect compliment to both that great bucket and the delicious apples.

Mary, your post has me longing to go to NC to pick some apples! That bucket was such a great find and really makes your centerpiece!
I thought you were taking me to an orchard, but what a lovely setting.
I can only get to Home Goods about once a month so I miss most of the really good buys. The shiny red apple plates would have jumped into my cart so fast there would have been a wind sheer inside the store. Love the real apples. I was tickled that they came from Hendersonville. One of my all time favorite places to go. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m just sayin’ that Hendersonville is one of the prettiest places in the country.
And picking at Home Goods is air-conditioned! (Important in Texas.) I love the quilt as a backdrop for the rest of the table. One day I will have those wonderful chargers — Nell Hill’s, right? The red apple plates are wonderfully subtle.

It’s apple pickin’ time here in the north country, too, so you can bet there have been several apple recipes tried in the last couple of weeks. I must confess that not all have been presented as artistically as yours!

Those are great canning jars- I’ve never heard of them before. Your combination of the small checked napkins and the galvanized tray and bucket look perfect together. I like the red apple plates. The quilt sure cozies things up!

Love the table! That bucket is wonderful. I love the way you use quilts on the table to soften things. I used a lot of bedspreads, but will be keeping an eye out for quilts in the future!

I so love your table set by the water…I never realized that NC was such a great supplier of great apples…I have recently enjoyed getting them at the Farmers’ Market…I have not been to HG in ages…love that apple bucket!!
