At the Table~ Parchment Rouge

DSC_0334-001

In a celebration of fall, I’m at the table with

 Parchment Rouge Dinnerware by Mikasa.

Warm and rich in design, a gold scroll pattern

embellishes a vibrant red border, making

Parchment Rouge ideal for fall or the holidays!

When I received this dinnerware, I immediately envisioned a Christmas table set with gold accents and sparkling crystal on a snowy white tablecloth. . .

With my harvest of pumpkins and gourds, I decided to create a table prior to the holiday season, inspired by a plaid tablecloth with shades of pumpkin, persimmon, russet and ‘rouge’ ~ a warm foundation for a celebration of fall with Parchment Rouge Dinnerware.

Natural elements~ pumpkins, gourds, leaves, and Indian corn add an organic feel and natural abundance for an easy and casual centerpiece.

And rustic, woven chargers provide some texture,

in contrast to the smooth porcelain finish

of the dinnerware.

Glass beaded napkin rings add a soft luster

and marry a pair of napkins~

sheer gold layered over a red hemstitched one.

Gold beaded flatware adds some additional warmth

to pair with the scroll pattern

on the dinnerware.

I love the scroll design Mary! The shot with the sugar and creamer really shows the warm glow of the gold too! Very pretty and I look forward to your Christmas setting too:@)

Gorgeous fall table. The colors look so rich with the pumpkins and fall leaves. The design really *pops*. I like the idea of dishes moving easily from one season to another. Less storage room to look for! ;)

Hi Mary, You must feel like it is Christmas every time you open a package from Mikasa! I like the pairing of the elegant dishes with the rustic charger and the plaid. And any dishes that can go from autumn through Christmas belong in every dish lovers cupboard! I could see these dishes on a festive Santa and jingle bells table too! Linda

This is perfect for fall and harvest time. I think you did it beautifully. I am so glad you didn’t rush Christmas.

I can see why you thought of Christmas at first look. You have proved how versatile these dishes are as well as putting your creative juices to work. They will look entirely different but lovely. Next chance I get I want to check out Pier 1 and Home Goods. You are blessed to have them nearby.

I have a 70’s Poppy Trail zinnia pattern I would LOVE to see what you could do with. Remember the orange, yellow and green era? You may be too young!

I ordered French Countryside goblets and wines yesterday!;-) I just can’t seem to stop!

    Beautiful table!

Mary sooo pretty! The take away for those young ladies who want to build a pretty and up-to-date table for holidays…is to buy those extra classics as you find them at discount. For me it’s the chargers and texture items like baskets and a bunch of things I can prop w florals and lift. Build the cloth napkins as you go, supplementing w paper early on.the rest is inspiration w natural items for the season. I love the inspiration you, Mary, provide in this fabulous blog!
