Plymouth Popcorn is a sweet and salty treat, great for snacking and sure to satisfy hungry pilgrims, football fans, or tree-trimmers over Thanksgiving weekend!
Quick and easy to throw together with almond bark, popcorn, and your favorite combination of candy, pretzels, and/or nuts.
Plymouth Pantry Almond Bark came from Walmart rather than over on the Mayflower :) but you can use any vanilla flavored almond bark found in the baking section of the grocery store, white chocolate chips or candy melts. I like the convenience of the blocks of bark.
No recipe required for this sweet and salty treat~ as a guideline, for 10 cups of popcorn I use a 24 oz. package of almond bark, less 2 blocks. You can adjust your candy coating-to-popcorn ratio to your taste buds.
Melt candy coating according to package directions (I use the microwave) and toss in a large bowl with your popcorn. Mix until coated and spread popcorn on wax paper or parchment lined baking sheet(s) to cool and set.
Once your popcorn is set (about 15- 20 minutes), break into pieces and stir in your candy of choice, nuts and/or pretzels.
I mixed in some Pumpkin Spice M&Ms and Brach’s Caramel Candy Corn, pretzels, mixed nuts, and dried cranberries, since it’s Thanksgiving : ) for a sweet and salty blend.
I am in my danger phase, where I am so confident that everything is under control that I’m tempted to add things to the menu, and this is at the top of the list! I would love to have some bowls of this Plymouth Popcorn munch around the house! I’m glad it didn’t arrive by Mayflower, much fresher from Walmart! I might just even have most of the ingredients…thank you for a wonderful treat that everyone will enjoy~I wish I had a beautiful silver turkey ladle to serve it with! Happy Thanksgiving Mary~

so adorable, its the details that delight! i am not a snack person, well unless its 100% sugar, throw in popcorn and snacky stuff and i am just not enthralled, BUT my husband is ;-) i buy him the most expensive popcorns like cinnabon, zebra, pumpkin spice, it looks like they have nothing on you, i should try and be a good wife and make him this stuff, besides being darling it would surely put a huge smile on his face, it even looks healthy!
happy thanksgiving and thanks for all the nonstop fun your blog has been since day one~
Everything you do just looks so delicious, Mary! I’ll have to make some of this when the grandgirls are here! Wishing you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving!

Looks wonderful but doesn’t the popcorn get soft with all the additions, especially the dried cranberries?
No, The popcorn has a hard shell candy coating on it :)
