I’m McLovin’ the vintageness of it all….the postcards, the Shiny Brite ornaments, and the snowy vignettes are adorable! Your little potting shed makes me smile every time you feature it, Mary!!! It’s so festive and *cute*
You’ve decked my favorite potting shed in such boughs of holly style this year, Mary! The ladder stands in perfectly for a tree and I love your sweet, little birds in place of partridges. The Leland cypress over your burlap valance looks so wintry and must smell so wonderful when you walk through the door. What a treat for the senses! xo
Oh my goodness, Mary…I literally gasped as each photo opened up!! So cleverly arranged & beautifully presented. I have some turq. antique Mason jars, I have some vintage glass knobs, I have twine, I have rakes but never in a million years could I have gathered them all together so beautifully. *sigh* I continue to learn & absorb from you with each visit.
Your “work” continues to astonish me…every single time. Your sense of color, your stying talent, your photography…W_O_W_S me. I LOVE your work (or is it play?) Thank you so much for sharing!
Mary, your potting shed is just absolutely beautiful! I love the way you attend to every little detail! It just put me in the Christmas spirit!! Thanks for sharing!!!
I’m speechless. I love everything about your holiday potting shed! It looks like a winter wonderland to me and I could get lost for hours in here looking at every detail.
You’ve done an incredible job adding Christmas to your potting shed! I love that the garland draped down your ladder makes it look like a tree … and, I love the door! You must never want to leave that space! Happy Holidays!
I adore your potting shed! You have turned it into a Christmas wonderland! I love the idea of draping the garland on the ladder and around the window! Your vintage ornaments and Ball Mason jars are a wonderful addition to your decor! Thank you for sharing your potting shed with us!
Gorgeous “decking”, Mary! I love it all! I am determined to do a Christmas chalkboard! I love yours. I have one in a frame, I am going to practice on.:-)
Merry Christmas!
thank you so much for putting this smile on my face, have been having a rough time and you truly lifted my spirits… nothing i enjoy more then the garden all gussied up pretty style through your lens and hands. i have an aging greenhouse that needs a makeover after something crashed the roof last week, you have me very tempted to change it from a real greenhouse into a garden playroom… the only problem is its about 110 degrees in there and i doubt i would find much comfort and joy, but i know i would adore a spot to play my heart away in the garden way. adore ALL your touches, of course i snatched a bounty of pics to enjoy again and again. so tempted to send you a birdie advent, it would thrive in this little house ;-)
Is there a word to describe over the top gorgeous?…I am always in awe of your garden shed decor Mary….you amaze me every time .. when I think it just can’t get any better, it does!…No detail is left undone…beautiful, beautiful, beautiful….All I want for Christmas is a garden shed like yours!!!
Absolutely beautiful! I could spend Christmas in your shed! =) I feel like I just went through one of my favorite decorating books. Every space is untouched and perfectly accented with your beautiful Christmas touches. Thanks for sharing!
I always say “One can’t have too much fun.” What a delight to tag along with your merry making! The shots of the stepladder are exquisite, right down to the open book holding the vintage garden tool. You are a master with design.
Cold here today with freezing rain expected tomorrow. I’m in over my head with things to do in the house and garden. Hope to get to play with some Christmas decorations this weekend.
Thanks for the ever generous bounty of inspiration, my friend. ~ Sarah
Mary, I read this post twice and keep seeing more. I love your fresh greenery and the precious vintage cards. Vintage ornaments are my love language. Your bird ornaments are very pretty. I meant to ask in one of your recent posts where you found your glass bird ornaments. I have a few and I think mine are Old World ornaments. Need to check. Nancy hit the nail on the head in the comment above about feeling as if we just read our favorite decorating book.
I am in complete awe of your vintage card and ornament collection. I am no longer amazed (yeah, I am…) at how you can come up with different decorating ideas for your playhouse (ooops…potting shed), the porch and the banks of the lake…You are one of the most, (if not the most!), creative blogger I follow.
Mary, you inspire so many people…me included! I would need a warehouse if I tried to buy everything I like or love seeing in your posts!

Your vignettes are always so full of unexpected and delightful surprises, Mary! What a magical Christmas woodland you have created in your little potting shed! I always love how you weave your china pieces into your decor and the bird ornaments are adorable! The things you come up with for rakes and everyday garden tools are so much fun, and the bottle brush trees and ball jars are so sweet. I feel like I’ve been to fantasy land!
