can use regular size ones and adjust your ratio of
peppermint-to-vodka however you like.
I had seen a few recipes calling for pulverizing the candy canes in the food processor, but save yourself the trouble of having to wash your processor and just toss them in your jar or bottle. If you use regular size candy canes, just break them a little to fit and give your jar a shake occasionally. I tossed in a large candy cane after breaking it, it takes a little longer than the small ones, but still easily dissolves. My candy canes were completely dissolved in about 3 hours, ready for gift giving.
That is the cutest Santa ornament. These cocktails sound fun. I saw the glasses at World Market and you have taken them up a notch with your clever gift idea and presentation.
I love candy canes! Much, much better than candy corn, which is only good for decorating purposes! :) Yum, a white chocolate peppermint martini combines some of my very favorite flavors! I love those martini glasses ~~ perfect for a peppermint treat! Linda
I laughed out loud at Jain wanting this for breakfast! Heck, if you put it into your hot cocoa, you could run errands all day long outside without a coat even! LOL
Delightful photos of a delicious idea. It will be difficult for me to convince DH to let me use his good vodka for it though. *wink* He is such a purist.
Oh, I’m making these for Christmas afternoon as we open gifts. It’s should be a Merry time…. with lots of jingle bell shakin’! Great idea and recipe and images!
Well, it sure looks like you’re still whipping up creative and whimsical creations. I just love what you have done here celebrating Candy Cane Vodka! I must pin it until I get around to actually recreating it:) Perhaps for Candy Cane Day, December 26th, lol…
Thank you so much for sharing, Mary…A joyous holiday season to you and yours, Louise
3 hours you say, in 3 hours I can be sipping on a candy cane martini??? I just happen to have vodka and candy canes and white chocolate Godiva, so I must dash and get it brewing!! Love the crushed peppermint around the base of the glass on the plate. It’s all so so so cute!

I’ll tell you what, I could use a shot of this stuff right now. Never have I been so stressed and bereft at the same time as I am this year. So, I’m washing out my cute little bottle, dropping in some candy canes, and pouring in the vodka. This is going to be mine, all MINE!
Sounds great!
Please correct where you say “Candy Corn Vodka”. Easy mistake!
Have a Merry Christmas!!
Hi Lisa, No mistake, the link is for Candy Corn Vodka for Halloween :) Merry Christmas!
Yum! I was just thinking yesterday I should probably pick up a pack or two of candy canes when they go on sale after Christmas:@)
That’ll put some Merry in everyone’s Christmas! What an easy and seasonal gift. Thanks, Mary! xo

is it wrong to want this for breakfast?
This looks just amazing!
And pretty too.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful post!
I could do this Mary. I have vowed to give up sugar but I could gift them. Thank you.

Thanks for the Merry Holiday Cheer!
Heck YES!!
The spirits in this post are bright, pretty, and merry!
Not sure what happened, mine is a bubblegum pink and not a nice Christmas red like yours!
Hi Laurie, Mine turned out more orange than I wanted. It all depends on your candy canes, some are more red than others :)
