It will definitely put

the jingle in your bells :)

No recipe required and easier than Candy Corn Vodka,

since the candy canes dissolve completely

and you don’t have to strain the solids.

For a pint jar of Candy Cane Vodka,

I used 10 mini candy canes, but you

can use regular size ones and adjust your ratio of

peppermint-to-vodka however you like.

I had seen a few recipes calling for pulverizing the candy canes in the food processor, but save yourself the trouble of having to wash your processor and just toss them in your jar or bottle. If you use regular size candy canes, just break them a little to fit  and give your jar a shake occasionally. I tossed in a large candy cane after breaking it, it takes a little longer than the small ones, but still easily dissolves. My candy canes were completely dissolved in about 3 hours, ready for gift giving.

Add a little candy cane rimmer. . .

Shake your Candy Cane Vodka up with

ice in a cocktail shaker,

and add some tonic or soda.

Or add a shot to your hot cocoa or chocolate.

Add some white chocolate liqueur and a little half and half to your Candy Cane Vodka and for a White Chocolate Peppermint Martini.

White Chocolate Peppermint Martini

1 part White Chocolate Liqueur

1 part Candy Cane Vodka

2 parts half and half

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice,

shake about 30 seconds.

That is the cutest Santa ornament. These cocktails sound fun. I saw the glasses at World Market and you have taken them up a notch with your clever gift idea and presentation.

I love candy canes! Much, much better than candy corn, which is only good for decorating purposes! :) Yum, a white chocolate peppermint martini combines some of my very favorite flavors! I love those martini glasses ~~ perfect for a peppermint treat! Linda

I could do this Mary. I have vowed to give up sugar but I could gift them. Thank you.

I laughed out loud at Jain wanting this for breakfast! Heck, if you put it into your hot cocoa, you could run errands all day long outside without a coat even! LOL
Delightful photos of a delicious idea. It will be difficult for me to convince DH to let me use his good vodka for it though. *wink* He is such a purist.

    Hi Mary!!!

Well, it sure looks like you’re still whipping up creative and whimsical creations. I just love what you have done here celebrating Candy Cane Vodka! I must pin it until I get around to actually recreating it:) Perhaps for Candy Cane Day, December 26th, lol…

Thank you so much for sharing, Mary…A joyous holiday season to you and yours, Louise

3 hours you say, in 3 hours I can be sipping on a candy cane martini??? I just happen to have vodka and candy canes and white chocolate Godiva, so I must dash and get it brewing!! Love the crushed peppermint around the base of the glass on the plate. It’s all so so so cute!

I’ll tell you what, I could use a shot of this stuff right now. Never have I been so stressed and bereft at the same time as I am this year. So, I’m washing out my cute little bottle, dropping in some candy canes, and pouring in the vodka. This is going to be mine, all MINE!

  15. December 22, 2013 at 9:42 pm

Wow…looks fantastic…never knew that the candy canes would dissolve..what a great holiday gift idea!!

Not sure what happened, mine is a bubblegum pink and not a nice Christmas red like yours!

    • December 9, 2014 at 5:17 pm

Hi Laurie, Mine turned out more orange than I wanted. It all depends on your candy canes, some are more red than others :)
