At the Table: Pfaltzgraff Napoli Rooster

DSC_4491-001

I’m at the table with Pfaltzgraff Napoli Rooster,

a colorful and whimsical part of

Pfaltzgraff’s Napoli Dinnerware collection.

DSC_4530-001

Napoli’s hand-painted collection evokes the light and

colors of the coast of Italy with its soft color palette.

DSC_4596-001

I crowed in delight when I spied a pair of decorative rooster  tins at HomeGoods this fall, purchased for colorful decorative storage in the kitchen. They came to roost at the table and to strut their colorful graphics.

Quilted placemats and coordinating napkins from Bed, Bath & Beyond are reversible, with one side a floral, the other side a stripe pattern. The napkins have magically coordinated with two other Pfaltzgraff patterns at the table, Pistoulet  and Villa della Luna.

Napoli’s vine motif and hand-painted

floral detail embellishes a 44 ounce pitcher.

And the utensil crock is functional as well as

decorative, and can also double as a wine chiller.

All purpose stemless wine glasses

are etched with the floral motif.

DSC_4522-001

And a trivet and ceramic handled spoons are fun for display as well as functional, with an embossed floral design at the end of each handle.

Napoli offers a generous size 30 ounce soup/cereal bowl. . .

Such a warm setting! We have below zero temps here and this is refreshing. Love all the textures also.

I love the tins with the Napoli Rooster dinnerware! Bunny jelly bean pot, indeed, Mary! You are so cute! I love that….I love bunnies! My sorority mascot is a bunny. LOVE the square trivet and little spoon, too. Cute post!

You always take me “away” somewhere, Mary, and I thank you for the trip! I love all the pretty dinnerware, but that darling bunny is just the cutest. I’ll bet we’ll see more of him in the future. You pull all the right accesories to highlight the Pfaltzgraff collections. xo

What great color for these gray days of winter Mary! (And torrential downpours we’re having in Philly today.) The bunny jelly bean pot is adorable:@)

Hi Mary, I always love roosters and your dishes are wonderfully accented by your big guy strutting in the centerpiece. I need to be a better HGs shopper! I did not spy those tins here. The bunny dish is a great addition to this collection. Hope your weather is better than ours. Iced in yesterday, 50 today with a solid wall of fog surrounding my house, and 10 for a high tomorrow! I think some pretty dishes like this pattern are a perfect pick me up after this weird winter weather! Linda

I love all of the pieces of this collection. The colors are so fresh and vibrant and just the perfect thing to see on a cold January morning! I am crazy about those tins too.

As soon as I saw the title I knew I was going to love this table! Such CHEERY colors for this gray, rainy day. I am betting you are beginning to need ANOTHER storage shed just for all your new dishes:):) Love the reversible mats and napkins too!!!

  12. January 6, 2014 at 10:31 am

This is like a vacation trip without the hassles of travel, Mary! I LOVE the Quilted placemats and coordinating napkins…even though I can make them myself, I would have bought those in a heartbeat.
Thanks for showing us this line of Pfaltzgraff…I wasn’t aware of it at all.

Very pretty table – love the flowers and the bunny, makes me think of spring which is a nice thought!! Temps here on the thumb of MI are 12 degrees with wind chill down to minus 20 and predictions say will drop to minus 30 -ugh. NOT fun at 5 a.m. this morning working the snow blower on the driveway only to find the road totally impassable. Snow day after all. Love your blog – makes a snow day, extra fun!

What a delight this post was, Mary! I like chicken and rooster motifs, and I also really like the bunny lid! Friends of ours rescued a white bunny right before Christmas, and now he’s living happily in his new home.

Your rooster table full of sunny yellows is the perfect warm up on this very cold January day. The tins are a wonderful added detail, and the bunny covered bean pot is adorable. I’m sure he will hop back onto some of your spring and Easter tables. Love the linens. I think I need to make a trip to BBB and HG. Thanks for sharing this pretty table.

  20. January 6, 2014 at 2:06 pm

Lovely, Mary! Jelly Beans! They are the only beans I eat! :) Love those napkins, too. Have a good week.

  21. January 6, 2014 at 3:10 pm

Love it! I have three square’ish platters in this patter that I use as chargers. Hoping to find a fourth this year.
    Happy New Year :)

I am a sucker for anything rooster, and this table really speaks to me. Of course, I know of Pfaltzgraff quality, so I’m sure this is a wonderful set to own, not to mention versatile with all of the vibrant colors that can be paired with a wide variety of solid or plaid plates, plus big, beautiful blooms of flowers. Can you tell that I am aching for spring and color today? It’s -6 degrees here with a foot of new snow. Oh, and that tin…I want it!

  23. January 6, 2014 at 4:52 pm

So pretty…your table looks like something straight from Portugal!

Question, are the ceramic handled spoons part of the dinnerware set? I couldn’t find it in their catalog listing.

  24. January 6, 2014 at 5:44 pm

What a bright breath of Sunshine on this freezing winter day! Of course I immediately hopped over to Pfaltzgraff and loaded up a cart full~I haven’t pushed the buy button yet because I’m still trying to decide! It is all so cute and I love how it mixes with the Pistoulet~ I love your rooster cookie jar too, and can’t believe you got those mats at BBB. It’s all just so cheery!
