Madeline Dinnerware by Pfaltzgraff adds a bright and cheery note to the table with its palette of vivid blues & yellows.
A diamond pattern created from a crisscrossing border lends a hand painted feeling and whimsy to the stoneware.
For a centerpiece, I filled an urn with
hydrangeas, alstroemeria, button mums
and lemons, set on a natural seagrass tray.
I added lemons to the floral using bamboo skewers
for an additional pop of yellow and
since I like a serving of fruit with my flowers :)
Chargers are layered for texture and color~ a distressed scrolled white set provides a transition from the plates to textured woven set, to marry the tray.
A tablecloth with lemons and a patterned floral stripe
in blue, provides a cheery foundation for the table.

Very pretty Mary, I love the tablecloth and fun blue glasses! Looks like you’re enjoying some nice weather, rained the last 3 days here and to add insult to injury I caught a cold… bummer. Have a good week:@)
Another wonderful Pfaltzgraff table, Mary. I really like this pattern. I love that Madeline isn’t flowery, yet still a traditional look. I am once again compelled to visit Pfaltzgraff.
What a cheery mix of patterns and blue and yellow! Your floral arrangement is gorgeous on that woven tray and the lemons and mum heads tucked here and there are delightful. I love them tucked in the gingham napkins in the cups :) Beautiful pattern on the china~
So bright and springy! Loved the shot with your beautiful lake in the background. Another grey day for us here in the northeast. We are so hungry for spring and warmer temps!
Oh, bestill my heart! I am sorely tempted to change my everyday dinnerware to this pattern. I LOVE your setting and the dishes you have shared. Beautiful! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
Blue and yellow is a happy combination, and the Madeline pattern is lovely, Mary. The criss cross pattern reminds me of the early Quimper patterns which are some of my favorites. Dining at this pretty table beside the lake view looks like a perfect setting all around.
Fresh and lively…a beautiful sign of Spring…I’ve always liked blue but had never appreciated how well it combined with yellow until I received the book Monet’s Table…then I fell in love. Lovely table, Mary!
I am going to have to invest in a dictionary of synonyms, because I can’t keep using the word “gorgeous” on every post where I leave a comment. Looking at these photos makes me feel like I’ve taken a trip to France — so sunny and cheerful. The centerpiece is beautiful (I just bought the basket and think I need another it is SO versatile) — the flowers, that VASE! The cups, the dishes, those chargers that I am major-ly crushing on. (Big heavy sigh here.) Stunning!
You always have the prettiest flowers in your posts. You have a great view, too! Was in the local Home Goods last week, and they had a big blue tin with birds on it on the right side (kitchen section) of the store that reminded me so much of you and your garden shed. I believe it had ‘cotillion’ on it. If you get a chance, you should take a look. ;o) Looking forward to trying your pimiento cheese deviled eggs, too…sounds interesting!
Pretty table- love the colors. The tablecloth is a perfect backdrop to the pretty Madeline dishes. Beautiful flowers and it looks like some beautiful weather to go along with it!
You nailed this beautiful color combination. Love the Dinnerware pattern.
When you have sumptuous lemons, tuck them into your floral arrangement.
