We were invited to Charleston, SC for a weekend of food & fun with friends a couple of weekends ago.
I took a lot of photos so I broke them up into two parts of my stroll through Charleston, enjoying the view of stately homes, architecture, wrought iron gates.
Great photos! I missed Pt I while i was on vacation, and just went back to see those also – love how you’ve captured the garden blooms over, through, and butted up against the wonderful architecture.. This city just shines, doesn’t it?
So charming! Love the architect , blooms, and gardens. I went to
Savanah two years ago for St. Patrick’s weekend. Savanah and Charleston are similar in charm and architect. Love it, love your pictures.
Love your pictures of Charleston. My family vacationed there a few years back and we loved it. Hope to do it again in the next year or so. Thank you for an early morning smile. :)

I could definitely live there..you got some gorgeous shots of the spectacular gates and architecture…I could roam the streets just taking pics of the gates!..Gorgeous photos Mary!..
You are so smart Mary, to capture the essence of Charleston by highlighting her fabulous architectural elements, wonderful entries and gates and blooms~gorgeous photos, I will go to Charleston with you any time!

I love the artistry of the wrought iron gates, and your compositions showcase them magnificently. Love the camellias too. (That is what they are, right?) Gorgeous photos.
I got to go there once, about 18 years ago and I thought it was the most charming city with the fabulous homes along the Battery. We did a horse and carriage tour and still talk about the homes and the food there. What fabulous photos you got of the details on the homes.
so pretty, love the contrast of hard iron with the brillance of flowerss mingled about. so many wonderful angles captured with your creative eye, always a treat. now hurry up and catch up on trash tv so you can share even more ;-)
Just beautiful. Some pictures remind me of NOLA and others of Savanna.
Next trip South we will definitely go through Charleston. Thanks for sharing with us.
