“How does the Meadow flower its bloom unfold? Because the lovely little flower is free down to its root, and in that freedom bold.”
~ William Wordsworth
Love your post today! The pictures are beautiful – the crisp blue and white of the Batchelor’s Buttons and lilacs, the gorgeous old blue and white platter, the blue bottles, all of it!
So so pretty! Love the blue flowers in the cobalt blue bottles~your vignette with the platter and garden sheers is wonderful, another Mary photo that just makes me smile!

So pretty! I had several antique blue medicine bottles that I had collected for decades but sadly the got broken a few months ago. :-(. After seeing yours I am going on the hunt once again.
Hi Mary, Your bluebottle bottles are so pretty and those white lilacs must smell heavenly next to them. Mine are just coming into bud now! The potting shed is perfect in the new location, lakeside and field side. It looks like a cozy little house on the prairie, so inviting. Linda
Oh so pretty, Mary, highlighting blue in my favorite potting shed. That cobalt blue shade is so striking in showcasing the pretty bachelor buttons. I also love that pretty pitcher with the white flowers. xo
This is certainly a charming sight to see as I start my morning, Mary. A field of daisies and blue flowers must be incredible. The vignette in the potting shed is perfection. You continue to amaze!
Blue and white in the potting shed!!!!!!!!!!! 2 of my favorite things:):) You are a MASTER at all things beautiful and can elevate something simple into a thing of beauty!
“Bachelor’s Buttons” take me back to wonderful childhood memories of picking them as wildflowers in SC on visits to my grandmothers home. Does anything compare to thsi beautiful hue of blue? Once again you have inspired and amazed us!
Beautiful!!!
I collect cobalt and have quite a few bottles…some old that were my mother’s and grandmother’s, …and some new… I love using them as vases!
When I lived in SC, there were several places I would visit during certain times of year, to pick the wild flowers growing there…bachelor buttons, daisies, Queen Anne’s lace, daylilies and in an old abandoned farm site, I could find both blue and white hydrangeas… I loved making arrangements with ‘found flowers’ to place all over my house!
Thank you for adding real joy to my day. Bachelor buttons are one of my favorite flowers, I had them in my wedding bouquet. Growing up they grew in one of my mother’s flower beds and I miss being able to just go outside and pick a bouquet. You have refreshed a beautiful memory. MM
