This week is National Flag Week with June 14th,
Flag Day, commemorating the adoption of the flag
of the United States, paying tribute to the banner
that weaves us together and waves above us all.
Americans are encouraged to observe Flag Day and National Flag Week by displaying the flag,
so I’m waving the flag from the archives :)

I always love to see red, white and blue Mary! Everything looks beautiful and very festive! Long may she wave indeed:@)
This just couldn’t possibly be any prettier! The first shot is such an inspiration for me for what I’d like on my porch. (Of course, since I don’t have anything even remotely close to that bench in my possession, mine doesn’t look anything like it. Sigh.
Long may she wave! A sign of our freedom for all to see.🇺🇸🇺🇸
What gorgeous patriotic pics honoring the flag, Mary! Your potting shed photos just get me every time! Happy Flag Week to you. xo
My hubbie’s birthday is “Flag Day” and I always have flags flying (lit at night!) Three Cheers for the Red, White AND Blue!! franki
LOVE your pis. Can I share if I of course give you credit? Long may she wave.
That’s supposed to read PICS…sorry. hit the button too quick.
Wonderful tribute to our pride and flag Mary! The book looks incredible~you always find the most unique books to share~you are a master of the red, white and blue! I just love the porch vignette, as I always say, your photo should be a magazine cover :)

Oh Mary, your red, white, and blue tributes are fabulous!! You really do create the most amazing vignettes — feasts for the eye. :) Thanks for the reminder; I’m going to put my flag out now. I look forward to reading these posts from your archives.
Have a wonderful week!
Denise
Again you just blow me away. I tell everyone there is NO one with your eye, fingers, and camera. Wonderful. So very proud to be an American!
Mary, your patriotic post is the best! I downloaded my Flag Day photos last night and hope to post later today. Thanks for sharing your links from your archives. I’m off to revisit each one. LONG MAY SHE WAVE is one of my favorite books. I had the privilege of seeing an exhibit of Kit Hinrichs’ flag memorabilia in NYC the summer of July 2000. I was so excited when he published his book the following year. Hooray for the red, white, and blue!
June 14th was my Dad’s birthday and he always said “Isn’t it nice that they put flags out for Stanley’s birthday!” He has been gone for 30 years but the whole family puts out a flag on the day and wishes him a Happy Birthday! I always wanted a flag bigger than the car dealerships had so have worked up to one that covers a two car garage door. Still looking for the bigger than that one.

What a gorgeous tribute your have given to our beautiful flag. Everything I gorgeous as always!

I love this post, Mary. The containers are just perfect for the week. Long May She Wave looks like a book after my own heart. :D
It makes me happy looking at the sunshine in your photos….we haven’s seen much of that since last Thursday. *sadface*

wonderful to see you in all your glory with old glory :-)
Stunning and so inspirational! I love to see how you decorate so I can get ideas to create beauty and this post does the trick. Just beautiful!!! Cathy
Mary–A beautiful way to celebrate Flag Day! Thank you for this patriotic post.
I am always eager to check out what’s new on your blog. When I see your table along side the water it makes me sigh. What a special place to be.
Thanks for the time and effort it takes you to show us all the pretty things you have surrounded your life with. Cherry, TX
Oh Mary. This is absolutely beautiful! I love how you tied in the old vintage advertising. Perfect for the 4th too! Thanks for linking with Home Sweet Home.

My blood runs red, white & blue, and it’s always nice to see the flag being celebrated as well as revered. You have created some incredible patriotic tablescapes and vignettes in the past, and I love each and every one of them. Your creativity lends much to our national banner!
All of your patriotic décor is wonderful! No way to pick a favorite…you have carried out the theme perfectly.
I love red, white and blue decor whether it is in the decor of a room or a patriotic setting/vignette…you always come up with the most beautiful patriotic themes for all of your spaces…love the flag banner across the garden shed and of course the beautiful porch vignette!…Happy Flag Day/Week!…FB’ing!!!
Love, love this patriotic post. You are gifted!
Red white and blue is really pretty … isn’t it?!!!! Love this post. I’m taking down my wreath on the front door and putting up Uncle Sam and will fly the flag from the balcony. Happy Flag Day!
Wonderful tribute! I feel bad I missed Flag day on the 14th. I have a flag pole out front that needs to be used more often. Those ready re-fill pots from Lowe’s are a great value. I’ve never bought one, but I’ve admired them since they are ready to go and easy. Love the red, white and blue combo.

So many stunning red, white and blue images!
Wow! Thanks so much for sharing with us!
Have a great week,
Suzanne
LOVE all of this inspiration!!!! The Feta, Watermelon and Blueberry flag is a must make for me. Thanks for sharing all of these awesome ideas.
Gorgeous Photos! I love the red transferware plates and the hydrangeas in the bottle. Beautiful!
Beautiful! I love that you found a way to do July 4th without making it ‘hokey’. I’m working on my table now for the 4th and trying to steer clear of all the obvious choices. You did just that and achieved a lovely vignette. I like the use of the flags, but utilized with such taste. Gorgeous crisp photos, as well!!
Hello! I’m new here–swooning over your lovely table setting! Everything is gorgeous! Blessings, Cecilia
Truly in love with all your patriotic touches! It is too hard to pick a favorite.
