Those are still my favorite napkins Mary, love the stripes! I hope you have smooth sailing for the holiday, they’re calling for rain here but it might clear out by Saturday. Happy 4th of July:@)

I do hope the weather doesn’t affect your plans. Stunning sailboat centerpiece. Love the wire basket full of cupcake sailboats too. Amazing how you changed a few details and made it sail in a new direction.

Lovely, lovely, lovely … but, here on the NC coast, our Fourth of July Festival may be rained and washed out Friday by Arthur. : /
Our regatta will likely get rescheduled for Saturday.
Thank you for a lovely post, Mary, and detailing the locations of purchases. Love those napkin rings and flatware.
Hope your Fourth in the Charlotte area is cool and calm!

Your table has me smiling and running to the closet to get out my red white and blue! Your wonderful paper sails and the rope plates and napkin rings are simply too much fun and so perfect for your lakeside setting! I hope Arthur doesn’t rain on your 4th of July parade, and that you get to enjoy your Freedom Fries and Sailboat cupcakes in sunny weather~ the heat here has been monstrous but a breeze comes up in the afternoon, so we are planning to grill and chill…I do want to make your fries and corn on the cob cupcakes for our celebration :) Happy 4th Mary!

Your “sea” of red, white, and blue make me want to stand up and cheer. I’m in love with the rope detail on the plates and those cute napkin rings. You are a magnet for the perfect details. I want to sail right up to your lakeside abode and join in the celebration.
    Happy 4th of July, Mary!

Everything about your wonderful 4th of July table is fabulous. You are always an expert at details. What fun paper sails and how easy and creative is that!
I adore your napkins. They add the perfect touch. Have so much fun with the family and boating this weekend. We are going next week and it will be our first time this summer. I can’t wait. I should do a tablescape from Lake Powell it has been a while!

Gosh I love those red velvet sailboat cupcakes, Mary! I need to remember to use that same quilt I have for a table covering…but I have to take it off my bed!
    Happy 4th to you! xo

I’m still trying to figure out what to do with my napkins for today’s tablescape and you have these gorgeous rope ones. So perfect for your theme!

Awesome Awesome Awesome! You have put me in the mood. My parents
always celebrated the fourth out at our cottage in Irish Hills, Mi. It would
have been fun to use your ideas out there back in the day!

Have had no net for over a week, pure joy to sail into your home port today. Happy 4th to you!

Mary, I love everything and especially the nautical flatware. It must be new because I have not noticed it before! I’m sure it will get lots of use because it’s PERFECT for you! Happy July 4th and I hope the rain doesn’t keep you off the lake!

  15. July 2, 2014 at 9:19 pm

Oh, my goodness….those rope cocktail plates are so cool!!!!!!! What a great design! I haven’t been in a PB lately, and it’s probably a good thing I haven’t. I know I wouldn’t be able to resist!!! That flatware is irresistible, too! It is perfect for this setting and perfect for your lifestyle!!!

I love the way the design of the quilt looks like lots of hoisted sails. SO cool!

This is such a neat table setting, Mary, and there couldn’t be a better way to spend the 4th than kickin’ back with a Berry Lemon Sparkler on the boat! Enjoy yourself, and have a safe weekend!

I love the plaid sail and everything else about this table, Mary!
    Happy Independence Day!

Love that the quilt pattern looks like a burgee! I left the same flatware behind when we sold Galveston house and have regretted it ever since.

  20. July 3, 2014 at 12:38 pm

Wonderful setting!! I’m particularly enamored with the quilt as tablecloth, but all of your details are perfect, from the striped napkins, to the plate mix, to the sailboat centerpiece, and on and on. But I think my absolute favorite part is the cupcakes. Just brilliant!! Enjoy the Fourth!
