Waterside Dining: Pfaltzgraff Cayman

I’m at the table with some waterside dining

and Pfaltzgraff Cayman Dinnerware.

Pfaltzgraff’s Cayman brings sun-muted shades of

turquoise and browns, sea and sand, to the table.

An island of crushed shells adds a little

Caribbean touch for a centerpiece . . .

Along with jute knotted bottles,

and a candelabra insert for

 island ambiance for dining.

Shell napkin rings were found

Water hyacinth placemats

And jute bottles are filled with

Cayman accent plates provide flowers for the table,

This would be great for the apartment! Beautiful!
I need to make a trip to World Market! Nice having World Mkt nearby our little in between home.

Bridget – I keep forgetting to ask you if you subscribed to this blog – she is the BEST tablescaper I have run across. This one is “simpler” than most but charming with the shells – I’m a complete sucker for shells.

Thinking of you and Natalie today. Love, K

Nice pattern on the dishes . My colors! I too, love to set a nice table. I feel like it makes your food more appealing . Have a great week!🌴

Beautifully presented, Mary & you even had napkin rings on hand that MATCHED!! I’m always so impressed with your attention to detail. Lovely setting!!!

How is it you always have just right accessories for every table? The potting shed must be running out of room!

  6. July 21, 2014 at 7:24 am

Beautiful tablescape and I love those sea shell napkin rings!

  7. July 21, 2014 at 7:28 am

Having just returned from Cayman this past Friday, your table has me dreaming of my favorite place in the world all over again. Lovely table, lovely timing for me.

Oh Mary, what a soothing table you’ve set overlooking your beautiful view. The dishes are so pretty and you’ve enhanced them perfectly. I love the crushed shells, the sand and the candelabra, too. xo

The way you have brought out the colors with your accessories is so subtle and effective Mary, letting the dishware shine but adding so much atmosphere~ You can almost hear the waves breaking! I love love the candelabra in a bottle and the spilling sand and shells~

You have set a beautiful table, as always!

  13. July 21, 2014 at 9:12 am

Lovely, Mary! Love how those napkin rings mimic the “island” of shells.
Have a great week! Starting off hot here after a lovely weekend.

Oooh, I like this set a lot. I love the floral salad plates and how they pair so nicely with the dinner plates. I also like the shape of the cup. Very pretty colors as well. When I set a seaside table I looked everywhere for glass floats, including World Market and didn’t see those great jute covered bottles that you have here (and never found floats). Very nice, Mary!

So glad I found your blog! My husband calls me the “dish fairy”. Love your tables. I worked in a gift shop that specialized in tablescapes, so I come by it naturally. Love those bichons, would love to see more of them.
    Stay cool

Love the colors….perfect pairing of sand and sea. Beautiful dinnerware…the contrast between the ‘chiseled stones
that border the edges of the dinner plates and Beach Morning Glories growing in the sand’ is stunning! Whoever designed it should win an award…if awards for dinnerware exist…

    Impeccable presentation, as usual, Mary!

I can feel the breeze of the ocean in the Caribbean and the sounds of the steel drum in the background…you can create a most beautifully themed table and make one feel that they are somewhere in paradise…Love the dishes!

Very soothing colors Mary! Those napkin rings look custom made for the dish pattern too. The perfect setting to light the candles, pour some vino and enjoy the evening:@)

A wondeful tablescape:all the elements work so well together highlighted by those napkin rings that match the dishes so perfectly!! Beautiful colors!!! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

I’m not particularly a beach person, but I really like the muted colors of the stoneware combined with the sand, shells, and napkin rings – I could definitely recreate this in my California Valley home – far from the sea. I’m a new fan.

  21. July 22, 2014 at 10:16 am

Love every detail on this table. I have a bracelet that I enjoy wearing that reminds me of your napkin rings.
Color, texture and variety have been creatively intertwined for a top notch tablescape. You are blessed with the gift of design.

  22. July 22, 2014 at 8:07 pm

Can you show a behind the scenes. Maybe a pic of your butler’s pantry or serving wear cabinet. And how do you haul all this stuff to and from the house?

  23. July 22, 2014 at 8:15 pm

The shades of blue with the earth tones offer a lovely organic ambiance. The floral plates offer a surprise and a touch of whimsy. This is a delightful summer table.

  24. July 22, 2014 at 9:00 pm

Came from WOW, so glad I didn’t miss this! Amazingh how the napkin rings match the edge of these dishes so well!!! Gorgeous table as always, Mary!

  25. July 22, 2014 at 11:33 pm

Oh so pretty and serene! I love the way the floral salad plates play against the striped rim of the dinner plates. Very chic! I love all the texture going on not just ON the table, but IN the table itself!

  26. July 23, 2014 at 6:31 pm

I can almost hear the steel drums playing!

  27. July 24, 2014 at 11:43 am

What a fun table. The crushed shells are so casual yet elegant. You always nail the perfect theme and with the water in the background – I can hear the waves. Makes me want to go to Cayman!

  28. July 24, 2014 at 12:43 pm

I love the varied use of the shells, especially the napkin rings. The pops of turq against the neutrals is a nice choice , as well.

  29. July 24, 2014 at 9:30 pm

A lovely tablescape and I love the setting!

  30. July 24, 2014 at 9:38 pm

I love the napkin rings Mary, and you must have a better selection at the Kohl’s in your area. Ours is not so good.

  31. July 25, 2014 at 7:10 am

I love how the napkins pick up the blue in the plates. Love all the seashells. I haven’t started collecting them yet and I’m afraid to start – I don’t think I’ll be able to stop!

  32. July 26, 2014 at 11:38 am

Beautiful tablescape! Love the colors and all the seashells.
    Blessings My Friend,

  33. July 31, 2014 at 8:59 pm

I bought a four piece setting at a thrift store where I volunteered to that was only missing one bowl. So lucky… I love the flowers and will be looking for those online. Beautiful tables ape Mary.
