Love your dogs. Be careful with ice water for dogs. I read that it can cause stomach cramps and can be deadly. I don’t know if this is true but I would double check out the claim.
Hi Carol, Thanks for your comment. We have always given our dogs small ice chips, there’s no danger except for cracking their teeth (less likely with small chips). It’s an urban legend that’s been circulating a long while: http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/icewater.asp
Your pups are so cooperative when it comes to photos. Mine sees a camera and scampers away…..quickly! After a boat ride we head right on up to the porch as the dock rocks up and down making it a not very pleasant place to sit.
It’s always fun to see new adventure Gracie and Chloe are on. I’ve been keeping up on FB and check in here on the weekend. You’ve been busy redecorating! I shouldn’t be surprised.

Great start to my day! We have doggie play dates, Katie is the only one of ten that barks, ok non stop yaps if you don’t throw the ball… I feel for your ears!
Love your bichons! We had one (Daisy) for 15 years and when I see your pictures I really miss her. Her antics were second only to the movie dog Marley! We now have a cavachon which is a bichons and a cavalier. She has a lot of bichons in her!!! We have the same soundtrack as you! Have a wonderful Sunday.
Continued blessings,
Diane
I read on snopes that the ice thing isn’t true about causing dogs stomach cramps. I’m sure glad cuz our dogs get it everyday after our walk. Your dogs are darling and they sure love the lake life just like ours do.
Oh, I wish you could have seen Sadie when I started the video. She got so excited to see her friend. ‘-)
How I would like to be stretched out on that mat with that sweet little girl or dangling my feet in that cool, clear water. What a life! Happy Sunday to all of you ~ Sarah and Sadie
I love Chloe and Gracie!! My Bichon, Keeper, says to tell them HEY!! I also love your header, so calm and peaceful. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, your blog is one of the most beautiful blogs I read. Happy Sunday and enjoy the lake!
A rainy weekend here too. I don’t mind, but I feel sorry for the working people who only get to enjoy the beach on the weekends. No dogs allowed, so we can sit at the pavilion and enjoy the bay in peace and quiet. That’s until my 5 gkids arrive, no more peace! Enjoy your beautiful spot!
They are beautiful! My bichon Sir Bentley is infatuated with the Koi in our pond they actually come up to greet him and he puts his face in to play with them! It is too funny actually last week he fell in!
These little girls are so darling. Isn’t it funny how they will fixate on one little thing forever? I bet it never changes as many times as they see it. They sure are cute. I don’t comment very often but always enjoy your blog..Happy Sunday..Judy.
I like the new look for the blog! When did you do it? Being on, near or in the water is a love of mine! Actually did have a beautiful day. Hope you did too.
So cute! My Pomeranian, who turned one year old yesterday heard your dog barking on the video. She hasn’t stopped barking yet. She has looked out two sliding doors and the bay window. She knows there is a dog out there somewhere…but where? It’s a hoot…thanks for sharing with both of us! The view is beautiful.
Mary, The video is hilarious! I have been showing it to everyone! We actually had to teach Nellie to bark on command as the lab hunting dogs have been bred to be quiet! She won’t even bark at the deer munching my trees and plants and flowers. Chipmunks, for some reason known only to the dog brain, are the only thing that she will automatically bark for. Otherwise, we use the command word “squirrel” to get her going. I thought of that one day as I watched one devour the contents of my bird feeder. By the way, I love the new links above the title of your post that takes me directly to a line up of related posts! I’m always amazed at how much you do!! Have a great week! Linda

I love the photo of your baby doll laying stretched out on the big cushion. Looks like my guy, just a lot smaller. So precious.
