offers a modern interpretation for fall dining.

Bold patterned leaves drift across square plates

in a contrasting palette of autumnal colors.

Lanterns are filled with a seasonal display of

small pumpkins and gourds as a centerpiece.

And square shape bowls are a

convenient size for serving up soup, cereal

or Jack Be Little pumpkins :)

Woven chargers add a rustic texture and contrast

with the smooth satin finish of the flatware

I love this fun rustic fall setting Mary! The dishes are really cool and the top napkin works so well with the tablecloth! I see we both had leaves on our mind this weekend:@)

Those Mikasa dishes are just stunning, Mary, and you’ve showcased them so perfectly. I love the black background of the dishes, which really enhances the colorful leaves. Your lanterns filled with pumpkins and gourds are the perfect touch, along with the leaf votives holder. You find the best table linens ant Kohl’s!
p.s. You’re a lucky girl to see those colorful trees on your lake!!

Look forward to reading your blog each day, Mary.

I love this Autumn Nights pattern Mary! The dark is so dramatic with the fall leaf pattern and the square shape is so attractive. You have paired it perfectly with the lighter plaid cloth and floral napkins. Your square rattan chargers are always my favorite. I can see this dishware for a Halloween table too, the orange pumpkins are the perfect pop!

Beautiful!!!! I showed my Foreign Exchange Student your blog & she fell in LOVE!!!! She says it is like a magazine! We are going to use your candy apple idea for her bake sale in two weeks. She thinks they are way more “COOL” than cookies. Thanks for sharing!!! You are an inspiration!

Another beautiful tablescape Mary! Those dishes take my breath away – what an inviting table to share with friends and family. I enjoy looking at all the ways you decorate. By the way, made your caramel apple bars and they were a huge hit with my family. Going to make another batch soon! Happy Fall!

Wow, what a pretty table. I am so going to “borrow” your idea of putting miniature pumpkins and gourds into a lantern. What a great idea!

  35. October 3, 2014 at 10:52 pm

Egads! That photo in your header….it’s GORGEOUS!!!! It’s just picture perfect autumn!!! I don’t know it for sure, but I kinda have a feeling that’s pretty much what heaven must look like! :-) This is a beautiful table setting, Mary, and it works really well outside like that. What a great backdrop it mimics!!! I love the muted colors. I also really like the black background of the dishes. That really shows off the rich fall colors in the design.

So, so pretty! Enjoy your weekend in your little corner of heaven on earth!!!
