So BEAUTIFUL! I tried to pin the book for our new cover for the nbs and I can’t… please add this beauty in! I always have white flowers at the beach, you have me rethinking that now… love the video, excellent addition. I kept mine simple, just because I can tell you didn’t!

Just because….I love the details of the hydrangea blossoms & the leaves too; as well as the details of the lantana leaves–the hint of burgundy around their scalloped edges. Just because….I love little pumpkins!
Thank you for the visual pleasure this cold morning!

  15. November 15, 2014 at 8:58 am

    Absolutely beautiful !

  16. November 15, 2014 at 9:21 am

Oh Mary!! I wish I could steal this arrangement & freeze it until Turkey day. I’m planning on using my Blue Willow dishes this year, along with orange accents & this would be PERFECT as my centerpiece. No more hydrangeas available up here…they’re all frozen & covered with snow. :-( However, the rest of the arrangement is doable for me, I think. Thanks again for all the inspiration you provide!!!!!!

Hi Mary, I can’t believe you still have hydrangeas in bloom — with their original color. I think all the hydrangeas around here have turned to muted fall colors. This is the most beautiful arrangement; it makes my heart go pitter patter. :) I wouldn’t give our first-born son or Duncan, but I would give a LOT to be able to arrange flowers, leaves, fruit, and berries like you do. You really make the most gorgeous, natural-looking arrangements, Mary! I’m in awe. I’m glad you found your missing urn.

The light has been lovely, hasn’t it? Thanks for sharing this with us — hope you have a great weekend!

    Big hugs,

    Denise

The last Hurrah for Fall colors….Absolutely stunning!

Mary, what are the reddish shinny berries that can bee seen in the 1st and 3rd photo? …and the green berries / seed pods towards the bottom of the arrangement?

    • November 15, 2014 at 2:59 pm

Thanks Sonia! They are Hypericum Berries, they come in lots of colors and the green are lantana that have gone to seed :)

  30. November 15, 2014 at 4:00 pm

Exquisite photos! You have truly honored the colors of this special season. You need to publish a book of photos (or have you already and I’m too much of a newbie to know?)
Have a great weekend. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

Beautiful perfection, as always! You COULD be aprofessional floral designer. Exquisite. LOVE the hydrangeas, ours have been “frost nipped” it was 24 Sat. night on our way home:(

  46. November 18, 2014 at 9:08 pm

G-o-r-g-e-o-u-s!!!!!!!! Every flower here is dead as a doornail. We got down to 6 degrees last night…in NOVEMBER!!! I don’t know what the heck is up with this crazy polar vortex, but it needs to turn around and go back where it came from. This is crazy!!! I REALLY feel for the folks up in the Buffalo, NY area! I have a friend there, and she texted to say it is truly frightening!

Enjoy those blooms and have a wonderful week!
