A Christmas table with Old St. Nick, plaid, and lanterns filled with ornaments, pine cones, nuts and greenery, and for additional merry measure, some candy canes.
Boughs of holly and berries deck dinnerware, for a timeless and elegant pattern for the Christmas and holiday season while seasonal eatings, cranberries, apples, pears, clementines, and nuts are gathered from the produce department for a festive and easy centerpiece.
Gingerbread, Cranberry, and Lemon Curd Trifle, a festive and easy dessert using a few short cuts including a box mix for the cake layers that can be made in advance.
What a post, full of loverly decor and foodstuffs! I’ve started decorating, early by standards of waiting until Thanksgiving, but it felt late since TGV was nearer to the end of the month. Yours is outstanding!
Well if your post doesn’t get us all inspired for Christmas ideas, I don’t know what will, Mary!! Thanks for all your wonderful creativity and photography to help us. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Wow, that’s the best decorated home I think I have ever seen. Love all the pine branches and the ladder tree. I used to have a fishing tree at our cottage. We no longer have the cottage. It was so fun to decorate for the holidays.
TONS of inspiration here, mary! I remember every one of these posts! You are truly amazing. Hope you had the BEST Thanksgiving. Thankful for the gift of YOU!!!
I do need a little boost to start my holiday engine, and looking through your past posts is sure to help~After a weekend of family, turkey, and football I am dragging! The calendar pages are flipping too fast! I must get home to deck my halls and feather my nest, and whip up some candy cane vodka!

As usual your attention to detail is flawless, your taste impeccable, and the photos are a feast for the senses. You are incredibly talented and inspiring!
How did I miss seeing so many of these? I must go back & revisit them all.
Such an abundance of ideas & info, esp. the recipes…YUM. Thanks so much for all you share, Mary!
Oh Mary! You need to put a book out like Carolyn of Aiken Home & Gardens. She has a beautiful tea book and Christmas book. I know you have enough material. It would be a great thing to own! Thank you for joining Home Sweet Home!

Like seeing old friends, let the merriment begin!
Loved the déjà vu all over again glimpses of Christmases past… If I had the room, I would put up a ladder tree in a NY minute! Love it!
As soon as I read the title of your post that song started playing in my head, what a lovely day you made for me :)
