At the Table: Christmas with Pfaltzgraff Country Cupboard

DSC_0240-001

In this season of red and green, I set a table that’s merry and bright for Christmas with the white dinnerware of Country Cupboard by Pfaltzgraff!

Red and green checks, berry and pine cone topiaries and sprigs of greenery add to the mix~ all fitting for a Country Cupboard Christmas!

White dishes provide a blank canvas for the table, easy to mix, match and blend with any color scheme or holiday. A trailing leaf and floral vine provides texture and interest on the white dinnerware of Pfaltzgraff Country Cupboard.

Available in both a traditional round or modern square shape, a subtle antique wash highlights the pattern and relief of the white border of the dinnerware.

Berry and pine cone topiaries and fresh cypress and boxwood sprigs, provide some additional red and green, along with shiny red apples. Nuts are sprinkled in with the greenery to add texture, blending with the pine cones and woven chargers.

And a checked tablecloth and square woven chargers enhance the square shape of the dishes.

Placemats with a holly and berry embroidered vine trails up the side of the placemats, framing the place settings.

A 60 ounce pitcher is serving up a topiary to add some height to the table’s centerpiece.

And I used a Country Cupboard vegetable bowl to elevate a topiary for a make-shift pedestal, thinking outside the bowl :)

I know I say this a lot, but this is my favorite Pfaltzgraff dinnerware yet. I love the raised design, and the white does allow for all types of holiday experimentation. Very nice!

  16. December 8, 2014 at 9:48 pm

Mary, thanks for showing these beautiful, white dishes! I’m in the market to replace the ones I have, and I love the raised design on these. Although I love colored dishware, too, white ones are my choice for everyday. My first set of dishes was white ironstone, and now people are calling them vintage! Wish I still had the set! Love how you think outside the bowl, too!

  17. December 8, 2014 at 10:16 pm

Beautifully presented, as always. I’d like to know how on earth you come up with such DIFFERENT ideas all the time. Do you have a BIG BOOK for ideas????? If so, I want a copy! *wink*

  23. December 10, 2014 at 12:29 pm

Magnifique!!! The white dishes against the tablecloth look just that much more pristine. I’m also digging the white mug next to the ruby red goblet…their juxtaposition is amazing. I love all the little details on the table like the apples and nuts that are a part of the Christmas season.

    Just beautiful! Bee-Yoo-Tee-Ful!!!!!!!!!!

You can never go wrong with traditional Christmas reds and greens—and fresh greenery! Such a visual treat. :-) I like how you layered the various fabrics and patterns. Nicely done!
