Good morning, Mary! I enjoyed seeing your photos on this chilly morning, while I’m cozy in bed. I love the silhouette of the leafless trees against the sky, especially the one with the nest.
    Happy weekend!

What a serene moment, Mary…you were up at the “crack of dawn” for sure!
May I save & use that first photo as my desktop background? I need to see something so beautiful each morning instead of all the WHITE stuff I look at around here!!!
Thanks for sharing your world, both inside & out.

Your photos are always gorgeous! We have had several beautiful sunrises this week. I don’t have quite the water view you have but it’s awesome to watch the colors changing on the water and in the sky at the same time. It has been between four and eight degrees here this week in the mornings and I just won’t venture out that early for pictures! Stay warm.

I am a fellow North Carolinian Mary, so our skies are very similar! But I must admit, I wasn’t up to see them this morning so I am glad you shared yours! Always enjoy your photographs and ideas!

Mother Nature can sure make one forgive her in a hurry with a sunrise like this! We’re freezing just like everyone else, with 19 this morning…I don’t know how you get up so early when it’s cold, Chloe and Gracie I am guessing? Your gorgeous photos make me long for the coast, we only got down there for 36 hours after Christmas and had to dash right back~ thank you for sharing your beautiful water and open skies~ have a great week Mary!

Our winter sunrises are always the most gorgeous of the seasons….When we first moved into our home which was actually toward the end of winter (March) it actually snowed that day….just some flurries…and then we noticed that we had the most gorgeous sunrises…I love waking up early in the winter months because of this…and YOUR sunrises are so spectacular over your amazing lake….What a way to start your day!!!…gorgeous photos Mary!!!

  32. January 10, 2015 at 9:52 pm

  33. January 10, 2015 at 11:18 pm

Mary, these are just spectacular! I love the colors in the sky and love the way they’re reflected in the lake. Some people might think I’m crazy, but I like this time of year; there’s something peaceful about it. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous pictures and enjoy the rest of your weekend. :)
