We’ve had some beautiful spring weather and the trees have been bursting with blooms!
I always look forward to seeing the plum trees dressed in pink, putting on their annual spring show.
And I can’t resist cutting branches of pink petals to dress my Potting Shed for spring.
I filled some watering cans with blossoms to enjoy before they scatter to the wind and make way for purple foliage.
Bunnies are in no hurry to hop away after Easter.
I hung a grapevine wreath on the back door of my Potting Shed and added some plum blossoms.
A pair of wellies hangs in the center, with a moss bunny, potted hyacinth and vintage garden tools.
Along with a found bird nest filled with faux eggs.
A Ball jar of daffodils hangs on a rake next to camellias and old garden clippers. . .
And pots are filled with a mixture of hyacinth, tulips and daffodils, with a few colored eggs still to be found.
The grapevine wreath I had wasn’t quite as large as I would have liked it, so I added some an additional loop of grapevine that I had around the outside, to make it appear larger and “brambly”. I tucked the plum branches in the grapevine, added some old garden tools and a bird nest. The blooms will last only briefly before they shatter and fall, but as for as April showers go, a shower of pink petal confetti is my favorite kind of shower :)
The wellies are hanging on a piece of sturdy jute ribbon over the wreath hanger. A moss bunny, from Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail’s table, hopped inside the boot to join a pot of hyacinth in the matching boot.

Yesterday we hit 80 in the Hoosier State and that really brought some of the blooming trees out…can’t wait!! Storms last night and cooler temps today. Sure hope it doesn’t get spoiled..but the potting shed is beautiful dressed up for Spring! ☔️⚡️🌸🌸🌸 April showers bring May flowers!!!! 🌸🌸🌸🌷🌷🌷🌷🌺🌺🌺🌳🌳
The Potting Shed looks great all dressed up for Spring. I was wondering when you are decorating and playing in the flowers, etc. are Gracie and Chloe right there with you “helping” out? I bet they are the best buddies you could ever hope to have! As always, I have enjoyed your post…it is always so beautiful and inspirational!

The whole scene is screaming Happy Spring Mary! One look at your blooming potting shed porch and I was smiling from ear to ear ! So entirely delightful, and your wreath of course is fabulous, I love the way you extended it, very brilliant~ I just love to see showers of petals this time of year, and petal piles like mini snowbanks,…your porch will wear them like a party dress!

A joy to see your plum tree blossoms, Mary. All our tress have leafed out now so we have a sea of fresh greens rather than purples and pinks. Every stage is pretty! I enjoy seeing the potting shed change with the seasons. Happy weekend!
Hi Mary, It’s cold and rainy here, and there aren’t any flowers at all, not even daffodils, so I’m really looking forward to a trip south that we have planned. I love your metal chair! It would be a wonderful place to sit when all the pink blossoms start falling. Happy Spring! Linda

Well Glory Glory! (Out here in Cali, the plums trees are fully leafed out and little plums are ripening!) Not quite your usual Baroque vibe, but full of youthful “Spring” exuberance, wild and woolly joy! YAY!

Love your blooming potting shed. Here in Spotsylvania, Virginia, all of the trees are in bloom as well as some daffodils. Our Rhododendron bushes are in full bloom. Some of our peonies are coming up. The weather has been chilly for the past three days–in the low 50’s. It’s supposed to warm up with thunderstorms later and the weekend is supposed to be in the 60’s and sunny. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

This makes my heart happy! We have had 2 GLORIOUS days, temps in the 70’s!!!! and sun shining brightly. Today we are getting the April showers but that’s OK, I hope it brings me some flowers! Everything is popping out of the ground but not blooming yet. Your display is fabulous. Where do you find all your vintage garden tools? I love them.
I know that if I ever have a down moment, I can just peruse your garden shed posts and in 10 seconds there is a smile on my face!…You never cease to amaze me with the many gorgeous displays and theme you come up with on the porch of the cutest garden shed ever!…Love the Wellies in the wreath…such a cute and creative idea…love it all…

We finally got some cold weather the last few days and it was time. I still had green hydrangea leaves and a few blooms on the endless summers. Very weird for January even this far south in lower Alabama. My camellias had the largest blooms ever this year and the trees were packed all of November and December. Don’t know what will happen with all the buds since the freeze. I am afraid they are damaged now.
