Happy Sunday!

Here’s a weekend waterview for you with a forecast for Carolina blue skies and temperatures in the 70s today and 80s later this week. . .

Ideal weather for chair sitting or gardening, although if I had my druthers, I’d choose 70 degree temperatures for a little while longer :)

The last of the Snowball Viburnum blooms. . .

The strawberries from my table were planted in a strawberry pot . . .

And I’m battling the birds and squirrels for these wee berries :)

The hosta have benefitted from our April showers.

It’s beautiful here too, Mary, but honestly each time I see images of your lakeside living I long for a home by the water. Everything is gorgeous. Peonies in your garden! I would so love to grow my very own peonies.
Busy times here! I will send you an email soon to catch you up.

Just gorgeous, Mary!! Everything is absolutely beautiful!
Friends are sailing the Great 48 this weekend on your lovely lake but may not sail today as there is insufficient wind. I did notice your photos show Lake Norman looking like glass!! Nice for pontooning, not do much for sailing. : )
We are pontooning not far from you on Lake James in the mountains.
Always love your photographer’s perspective and your beautiful photos!!
    Have a blessed Sunday!

Our Lake Anna is “peaceful” this morning, too, after several weeks of “some kind of wind!!” Rejoice in the day the Lord has made! franki

Glorious pictures! Our peonies are out of the ground but no where near blooming yet. The snowball viburnum is just blooming now, I LOOOOOVE that scent! We are having the same weather it seems, and I agree, wish we could stay in the 70’s for awhile. That is really my comfort zone. Have a wonderful Sunday. Maybe pontooning???? That’s where I would be:):)

Pure bliss! Live peonies. I don’t think hey would do well her in SoCal. We had weather in the 90’s this week. Loving it.

Peonies are my favorite. Ours won’t bloom until about Memorial Day. Right now nothing, as far as flowers, is blooming but the trees are beautiful!! I agree about the tempts. It’s been cold & rainy here but very nice coming up this week except it’s in the 80s. Not enough time in the 70s. In the last few years it just goes from a raw cold & damp to just dang hot &a humid!! But truth be known, I’ll take it over snow &a zero tempt any time!!😅😎 have a great Sunday!!!

Isn’t Spring just wonderful ?. My favorite time of year because of all the blooming flowers and birds singing! Enjoy your Sunday!

I could sit in those chairs and look at the water for days!

My chives have bloomed and so have my garlic chives, but my sage has never bloomed!!!

Love your Adirondack chair. It is so unique. Was it custom made?

    • May 3, 2015 at 3:14 pm

Hi Jean, No they’re by Uwharrie Chair Company, made in NC! You can find them here. :)

Your images are stunning! No blooms here in the northern part of the lower peninsula of Michigan yet. At least we reached the 70’s today. Have a wonderful week!

So tranquil and relaxing, I can smell the peonies wafting by the water… look how much your garden has grown since you started blogging :-) heading home tomorrow for weeks of inland heat and sunshine, I’m with you, 70 is my perfect temp, not 117 like our summer’s …. at least you have water to refresh you~

  14. May 3, 2015 at 7:32 pm

Very pretty and serene Mary! Lovin’ the blush on that pretty peony! Mine have buds but it’s usually towards the end of May that they bloom, but… We’re in the 80’s for at least 10 days, looks like an early summer this year:@)

  15. May 3, 2015 at 9:03 pm

I wish the snowballs had a longer life, but peonies certainly make up for it! Gorgeous days Mary, and I agree, 75 is just about perfect for me! Love the cloud reflections in your beautiful lake water~

    hi Mary,
I love how you tell little stories, to go along with your pictures, it is so endearing to me, as I learn so much from you on many dimensions. Thank you for all your kindness and generosity.
I have grown sage for a very short time and it has never bloomed. I have seen they look very different last couple weeks and wondering if I should pic tips off, oh so glad I read your post; Im excited to see yours blossom and know mine will also. The chives are budding and wondering if you ever freeze them or any herb blossom?

    Warm Regards, Kathy

Freeze herb blossoms in ice cubes for drinks, that is/ They are so pretty but may add a different flavor to drink??

What gorgeous, blooming photos, Mary. I feel like I can just reach out, touch and pick them. Oh, how I miss peonies!
