DSC_9393-001

I picked some roses with my camera lens to send you for Mother’s Day!

Our neighbor’s Pink Double Knock Out® Roses have been beautiful this spring!

They have a hedge of about 15 bushes that are so vivid and lush I can’t keep my eyes off them as I’m driving by. . .

A driving hazard since I’m mesmerized to the point of running off the road :)

Knock Out® Roses are disease resistant and incredibly floriferous. . .

Don’t you just love the word floriferous?

DSC_9389-001

They’re fast-growing, long-blooming and drought and heat tolerant. . .

I think I need some of the Double Pink! :)

These are gorgeous Mary! It would be wonderful having one of these in our new gardens. I’ll have to check into that.

Beautiful Mary but be careful. Moles and voles ate 3 of mine this past winter. Always plant with mole deterrent!

I put 3 double red Knock Out roses in front of my house last year and was thinking about adding more, after seeing the pink I’m sure it will be Pink. Have a Happy Mothers Day Mary, and enjoy those two white balls of fluff, I’m sure you will get lots of kisses from them.

Absolutely stunning! Our yellow and double red knock outs are just beginning to bloom in the Piedmont. I now want to add some pinks to the landscape! Hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day with your babies tomorrow!

Hi Mary, This hedge must have a glorious aroma as you pass it too! We are waiting to see if our knock-outs were knocked up by this bitter winter but they are quite hardy so I am hoping we have a wonderful show in about a month. They are also good to clip and bring inside for a short time and are “floriferous” all season! After seeing your gorgeous photos I think we will add more this year! Linda

Love the word, “floriferous”! I’m adding that one to my files. ‘-)
The double knockouts are gorgeous. We have the earlier ones that are single red blooms. Still pretty and “floriferous”, but not as thick and lush as the double. Mine have just finished their blooming cycle. One doesn’t need to deadhead, but I like to keep the bushes looking tidy. Need to get to that this weekend.
Happy Mother’s Day to Chloe and Gracie’s wonderful mom!

Beautiful photographs, Mary. My knockouts were almost completely knocked out by the last two winters, but I see new shoots again! Amazing plants.

  15. May 9, 2015 at 1:48 pm

WOW…. I am not familiar with the Knock Out floriferous roses
I wonder if they will do anything here!

    How gorgeous!

  23. May 10, 2015 at 7:38 am

What a visually, knock-out post, Mary! Around here in Texas, a lot of the knock out roses are getting attacked by a disease and they have to be removed and bagged. I haven’t noticed it on the two that I have yet, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Happy Motthers Day to the best Mom of Chloe and Gracie!

  24. May 10, 2015 at 9:44 am

Knock out roses are immune to my black thumb Mary, and have some blooming now! Love the double pink, so abundant! Didn’t know floriferous was a word, it’s a great one!! I hope Chloe and Gracie let you sleep in today!
