June 14th is Flag Day, commemorating the adoption of the flag
of the United States, paying tribute to the banner
that weaves us together and waves above us all.
Americans are encouraged to observe Flag Day and National Flag Week by displaying the flag, so I’m waving the flag from the archives :)

Thanks for the patriotic review for flag day, Mary, which will also wave us through until the 4th of July! Happy weekend to you!

I always love seeing the garden shed dressed in its patriotic theme and then there is your porch!…Just let me know when you want to let go of that amazing red and white pillow!!…I always come away from your posts with so many spectacular ideas!..I have that book and love it!…a gift from my son as he knows I am such a “flag waver”…have a great weekend Mary!
Mary, I think you’ve outdone yourself with this post….it might be my new favorite! I love the shed and how she’s all dressed-up in American flags. LOVE the idea of a red white and blue picnic. I like the color bowls from Lowes so much I might see if our local Lowes has them.
Have a great weekend!
xo,
RJ
I have copied your iinspirational ideas before- the watermelon flag, the hydrangea displayed with flags. I wish I could copy them all! Love this post.
Thanks for sharing your “American Pride” in such a creative way. Even the watering cans are standing at attention!..love that!
Mary , thank you so much for such a lovely patriotic post! Love everything! God Bless America.
Beautiful pictures – such inspiration ~ Love red, white and blue. Happy Flag Day !
What a fabulous red, white and blue patriotic display! It is all so festive! I decorate for it but you have given me more ideas! Can you tell us where you got some of the materials? (like pinwheels)
Hi to you and thanks! All the details and sources are on the individual posts, just click on the links :)
Mary,
Your decor is so lovely and oh, so Patriotic! I love it. You always amaze and inspire me.
Mary, my patriotic soul needed this post this morning. All my red, white, and blue is packed and in storage, and I’m missing it as summer days dawn. I stopped in Target this morning and picked up a few things. I know, what am I thinking when I have boxes of things I could go pull from. Just couldn’t resist the pretty folded paper stars and fans that I can hang from a tree or possible the dinning room light fixture.
My younger brother was born on Flag Day, so it has a double meaning for me. Long May She Wave has long been my all time favorite patriotic book.
Thanks for the review of all your fantastic patriotic posts. I need to check my pin board and make certain I have all of these ideas pinned.
Mary this is simply beautiful! I love decorating for the patriotic holidays – we deck out the outside of our house in flag bunting and since we have lots of red flowers and navy shutters – it is very patriotic! You are always an inspiration to me. Have a great weekend!
Gorgeous images, Mary! Happy weekend!
Thank you for reminding me. I was a little late, but my flag is flying. Your post is wonderful. God Bless America.
Wish I had visited this morning I would have put my flag up, today was my tea party, to drunk, I mean relaxed to handle it now. The coast guard is training on the beach with loads of men, maybe to show their extra patriotism they picked today. Wonderful collage of god bless America over the years in all its glory.
So beautiful!!!! So inspiring!!! I have a lot of Americana things myself. You have given me some great ideas, I love the birdcage with the flags!
“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
I well remember the first time I recited the pledge…
My dad shares his birthday with Flag Day, which is totally appropriate since he’s one of the most civic-minded, patriotic, America-loving men I know. I always pay tribute to him and this day by proudly displaying our flag. This are some scrumptious ideas. I had to share your post on my blog!
Mary, I fly our flag everyday but today I add some extras to the table and the house! Long May She Wave is a favorite book of mine too and full of inspiration and tidbits of info. Later today I will sit on our deck with something cool in a vintage glass :) and enjoy going back over your patriotic posts! Linda
Happy Flag Day Mary! I love your patriotic tribute to the good ole’ red white and blue! Go USA, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Jenna

Really lovely! Where did you died all of the round baskets with handles on the side? Thank you!
Sorry for the misspelling. Where did you find the baskets with handles?
HI Mary – This is patriotic perfection! I could look at this blog post all day. Seriously. Happy 4th! Hugs, Holly
This is a beautiful post! I love all the lovely pictures—–wish I could have the red and white quilt pillow–saw a perfectly perfect quilt similar to the pillow several years ago. A great price, even. Didn’t buy it. I’m still regretting my self control…..
Thanks for sharing the great tributes!
Wowo! Wow! Have you got some great ideas! Terrific job!
