My kind of outdoor love! I’ve been looking for a bike with a basket to plant. I love it when the plants mingle and surprise you. Those bee skeps are wonderful!
How did you ever get a bumble bee to land just perfectly in front of the bee plate for a photo, Mary?! More proof of the magic you create in your garden! I love old bicycles and had one that I painted lime green as a prop for an art show and I have been kicking myself ever since I got rid of it. Your bike looks so happy living by the potting shed spilling over with flowers and happily wearing blooming vines~ Happy weekend :)
Jenna
Love it! I just rescued an old bike from the curb. Cleaning up my side yard where I plan to “plant” my bicycle! I need to come up with a basket for it though…looking at thrift stores for one with the perfect shape. Yours has really gotten me excited to get mine done! So cute!
Your vintage Schwinn looks exceptionally happy by your potting shed, Mary. With your magical touch and all the pretty plants you choose, the bike’will be spinning through the seasons. I can’t forget to mention the beautiful Kimberly fern on the chimney pot and the bee that wanted some photo shoot time…loved it!!
Happy weekend to you, your hubby and Chloe and Gracie!
Absolutely LUSH! Someone said ‘Magic’ – indeed….. (I thought the ‘S’ on the seat stood for ellen SUSAN – but then I saw Schwinn, hmmmmm.) Lovely work. E
Iv’e been looking for a bike for two years, hope I find one soon. yours is so sweet. The finishing touch was the find of the plate, now I’m looking for a plate too. The picture with the bee was perfect. That just might be a contest winner.
I’m smiling at the thought of this whimsical planter! You definitely have a green thumb, Mary. Everything looks happy! Amazing shot of the bee. Love it!
I don’t think you can hear my sigh from beautiful Fairhope, AL, but suffice it to say, I’m in love with your bicycle! I love the trailing vines through the spokes and what a great use of a chipped plate! The whole space is gorgeous! And like Jenna, I can’t believe what perfect timing your bumble visit was!
Mary, your creativity is amazing! Never would I have thought of using an old bicycle as a planter and it’s so beautiful. Love the bee skep that’s in the center of another bloomer! Do you mind sharing where you found it? Have a great weekend!
I love your magical garden…where old bikes and discarded chimney pots…and yes, treasured dishes even when broken, can still find a way to be useful and contribute to the beauty around them…
You have such a sense of style, so welcoming. I never want your posts to end. I’m also a Bichon mom to a Gracie.
Love the bicycle planted in the flower bed. A new flower to me this year is a balloon plant. Unopened the bloosom looks like a balloon, but opens up to a sweet star.
This is so cute! I wish I had a green thumb!
Best,

Love your bike and it is beautifully planted. The picture of the bee and the plate is fabulous!! Perfect timing from Mother Nature is right! I wanted to ask, do your bee skeps hold up in the rain ??? I have several but never put them outside. Just curious.
I love it Mary. So pretty with the flowers spilling over the basket.
ONE of the things I love most about you, Mary, is that you have so much fun creating your beautiful things.

Voilà comment une simple bicyclette devient une véritable oeuvre d’art botanique.!
Très jolie mise ne scène.
