I’m sailing into Labor Day Weekend with a little nautical fun and a table for two on the dock.
Labor Day marks the end of summer and a last hurrah for weekend boaters until Memorial Day next year.
We look forward to quieter and less crowded weekends. . .
Just us and the ducks :)
I set sail with nautical flatware, acrylic boat glasses and melamine anchor plates for a table for two.
A nautical insulated picnic tote made her maiden voyage, here.
If you need a little boating-inspired food fun, help yourself to Deviled Egg Boats~ Bacon, Basil & Tomato Deviled Eggs, sails optional :)
And enamel boat dishes are ideal weighing anchor with Lemon Basil Shrimp Salad, a recipe from Southern Living’s collection of Quick & Delicious Summer Salads.

Mary, it looks like your water level has come up some! We’re at full pool…when we drove up this morning, we couldn’t believe how high the lake is but we shouldn’t have been that surprised considering all the rain we had last weekend and early this week.
I love everything you do Mary!! This is just so perfect for the end of summer holiday!! The recipes look fantastic and of course I’ve got to try a couple this weekend. Thanks for all the details and inspiration. Have a wonderful weekend!
Smooth sailing and happy Labor Day Weekend to you too. Wish we were spending it lakeside as you do. Such a beautiful setting, Mary. Enjoy!
Your nautical table is ship shape!
PS ~ if you decide to get some of the plastic flatware go directly to the source madhousecollection.com. Other sites offer it, but at double the price.
