With a Layered Cornbread-and-Turkey Salad, a make-ahead recipe

Assemble some antipasto skewers with cherry tomatoes, artichoke hearts,

Bloody Mary with Cheeseburger skewer | homeiswheretheboatis.net

Or how about a cheeseburger skewer for a picnic or as a garnish for your Bloody Mary?!

DSC_7682-001

I made a mini buns for cheeseburger skewers from leftover slider buns.

I didn’t have a cookie cutter small enough so I used a jigger to cut and punch out a mini bun.

If you use a regular size bun you could get probably two mini buns out of it.

Assemble your skewer with a mini cheeseburger, and the fixings of your choice:

pickle, lettuce, bacon and tomato!

Thanks Mary for the great recipes. Will remember the Layered Cornbread and Turkey Salad recipe for our next church potluck. Want something different to take and this looks so yummy! My husband is originally from KY so he loves cornbread. The peach and blueberry parfait is making my mouth water! Just canned 11 quarts and 3 pints of fresh peaches. Will have to try this one too! Happy Labor Day! Doggies are precious!

    Mary,

The fruit parfaits look scrumptious as well as the Bloody Mary cheeseburger skewer. Your dogs are precious and have the right idea for today. Hope you had a wonderful get away this past weekend.

All your party food looks scrumptious, Mary. One drink that I love is a Bloody Mary, and that cheeseburger skewer is just so cute! My son told me about serving a pork rib in a Bloody Mary, but I like your idea better.
Happy Labor Day to you, your hubby, and Chloe and Gracie!

Oh, that cheese burger skewer is adorable, Mary. Well, maybe not quite as adorable as the sleeping beauties!
Hope you and the girls are enjoying a beautiful day. Ours is quiet. Went out for a late lunch and meeting friends shortly for an early dinner. I think I’ll just have ice tea and visit. Ha! Still stuffed!

Hope you had a great holiday, your mini burger is adorable paired with a favorite cocktail. Summer has hit the beach, it’s like coney island this week and hot, would love to knock one back to make a perfect weekend even better :-)
