Not scary, just sweet!

I found an owl cookie on Pinterest that’s a hoot to make!

This is more of a method than a recipe, adding your candy to your cookie to create an owl. You can be creative and use the candy and colors of your choice for a fun cookie for kids to decorate!

Use the cookie recipe of your choice. I used a sugar cookie as a base and a 3 1/2 inch round cookie cutter.

Peach gummi rings make the owl eyes (I found mine at Target), fill in the center with a shiny candy center, I used Reece’s Pieces.

Spread your cookie with frosting as the base for your candy to adhere to.

I found chocolate covered sunflower seeds at HomeGoods to use for the owl talons.

I used candy corn for the nose. My inspiration cookie had licorice cut for the eyebrows and I used Chocolate Twizzlers.

Add some chocolate jimmies or sprinkles to the body of your owl for feathers.
