Ireland is a land that boasts 40 shades of green, so I dressed the table with a multi-hued cloth and with cabbage leaf plates in celebration. . .

For today and every day.

May your blessings outnumber

The shamrocks that grow,

And may trouble avoid you

Wherever you go.

Could it be a pot of gold?

No gold, rather a bunny ready to hop out, since Easter is a just a little over a week away!

Love the flatware and Bordallo. The bunny plate is so cute! I also picked up that green tick dianthus last week at the grocery – makes a great arrangement filler. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

This table is so very special!…You could not ask for a more beautiful table for St. Patrick’s Day….Love those cabbage plates!….Will have to settle for a “Reuben” as opposed to our traditional corned beef and cabbage as we are “on the road” that day….I shall celebrate vicariously through your amazing table of green!…

You’ve shown the many shades ‘o green that Ireland has in it’s countryside, Mary. I can still picture the beautiful patchwork on the rolling hills. Your floral centerpiece in the pitcher is so pretty, and so are the individual bell jars scattered about the table. I love that green dianthus…what a lovely textured accent. Yes, before I leave, I’d love a biscuit (or two), just don’t tell the bunny! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I love your 40 shades of green Mary, with plaid, cabbage, and flowers! The bunny plate is like finding gold, so cute! You always combine such wonderful things in your centerpiece arrangements and the “Irish moss” is fantastic! You are ready for some hearty Irish Stew to eat with your shamrock biscuit 🍀 Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I was looking forward to your post. It is beautiful and creative just as I knew it would be. Like the Green Trick Dianthus and your tablecloth is the perfect foundation to all the shades of green. The Irish poem was fun to read in thinking about your St. Patrick’s tablescape. Looking forward to the blog crawl at Kathleen’s tonight.

When I planned my tablescape I had in mind your table when I finished. Such an elegant table. I love your green plates and bunnies and the print on the clothe, chargers and flowers. What a beautiful table to welcome St. Patrick’s Day. Hope you enjoy the special day…………

  23. March 16, 2016 at 8:57 pm

Well, this is a great table, Mary, and I am in LOVE with those bunny plates. I was already admiring the pretty borders and didn’t realize they had bunnies, too. I just love the BP dishes; I try to keep an eye out for them when I shop at HomeGoods and Tuesday Morning. Your napkins are so pretty with the little green flowers, and the tablecloth is too. All your flower arrangements are lovely; I have some of those green ball jars, and I keep forgetting to use them. ;)

Visiting from Kathleen’s — hope you have a great St. Patrick’s Day and a wonderful weekend, too. Spring has definitely sprung here in N.C., hasn’t it?

    Hugs,

    Denise

Eu também gosto muito da loiça Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro. A fábrica renovou-se. De popular tornou-se loiça de luxo. Fico contente por ver a loiça do meu país ser admirada do outro lado do Oceano Atlântico.

You did pull out many shades of green for your beautiful table, Mary! Your BP cabbage dishes make me smile…I was surprised there were so few tables with them this year.
I am intrigued with the unique green trick dianthus. Never heard of it until seeing it in your post. I would love to find some to put in my garden.
