I love all flowers, simple and exotic! Their beauty and the miracle of them, how they grow so big and colorful from a tiny seed to how they evoke feelings of peace and love! I love the fragrance of an heirloom rose, the spicy scent of a geranium and the intoxicating smells from petunias. Peoney is such a beautiful, full flower and it has a beautiful scent. One of my favs for sure. But I have to say, I do think the common, ordinary petunia is my favorite overall because of that intoxicating fragrance and because bless their little hearts, they just bloom and bloom and bloom their hearts out for you all summer long, and spread and just put on a spectacular show! Love your blog and all the things of beauty you post. You truly have a gift for the beautiful!
Good morning Mary!! I have to say I just love the little flower of the Bacopa. For the past few years I have planted them in all my little pots that sit on a bakers rack on my back patio. One question. Do you feed your flowers all summer long? They are so gorgeous!!! And yes I am a subscriber. Love your blog. xoxo
Once again Mary beautiful pics! Cosmos!!! They are beautiful in my vegetable gardens as well as under my front living room window where I can watch them blow in the summer breezes!!!!
There is such a profusion of blooms this time of year that I would almost need to flip a coin to pick a special one. I have hydrangea and phlox but the deer ate the promising buds on the hydrangea and the phlox right down to the ground. My sentimental favorite is the peony, the fragrance of the short-lived beauty. When my husband was alive, he would go to the Farmers Market very early on Saturdays and would return with a bouquet of peonies. He would then wake me up with flowers and coffee. Life was never better!!!
This is like naming your favorite child – hard! Blue iris and orange poppy combination, I think. Thank you, Mary, for the opportunity to feed my dish fetish. ;)
I love Iris, all of the beautiful varieties but especially the pink ones and purple coneflowers which attract bees and butterflies. My new favorite annual is white Angelonia. Love white gardens in the moonlight! And love these beautiful dishes nestled in the planter boxes. Thank you
Your green ladder looks perfectly happy in the garden, Mary, blooming with the planters and the pretty dishes! Hmmmm, it’s hard to choose a favorite flower, but this year, I’m really enjoying my hydrangeas. Thanks for the opportunity to win. I’m already an email subscriber of yours. I’m looking forward to seeing your newly planted perennial garden. May you have a beautiful day, playing with your posies and dishes! ❤️
I’ve been a subscriber for quite awhile, love all the beautiful tables you put together almost as much as pictures of the dogs. My favorite annual is red Morning Glories and the perennial would be Iris in any color. Your blog makes my day.
I love all these vibrant colors on this post and all the flowers are gorgeous. My favorite summer flower is the hydrangea. I have shared this post on Facebook so that many more people can enjoy!
Oh Mary, Mary, Mary, quite contrary, how does your garden grow?? BEAUTIFULLY, I’d say, with your ladder looking so cleverly adorned in the garden with the planters and the pretty dishes! My favorite flower, depends on the month…lily of the valley in May, peonies in June & roses in July. Thanks for the opportunity to win. I’m already an email subscriber. Can’t wait to see your newly planted perennial garden.
Oh my stars what beautiful dishes! I would have to say lilacs are a favorite of mine. We’re visiting friends and I was blessed with lilacs for over a week before they faded.
I have so many favorites, but partial to old fashion flowers like hydrangeas, dahlias, azaleas and the list goes on. My gardens are a sharing garden as I have lily of the valley, and daylilies from my mom and English bluebells from my grandmother whom have both passed. Love, love, love walking through the garden beds when they start popping up which bring so many fond memories of them both. I’m a follower via email and just now via pinterest.
I love to see the colorful mix of all flowers. Just seeing them makes the day better. Your gardens are beautiful. I follow by e-mail and Pintrest. Thanks for the lovely give away.
My favorite summer bulb is the zephyr Lilly or rain Lilly. It’s such a joy to see them reappear after their pot is stashed away for the winter. I was given a pot from my sister in law who got them from her father who said they were is grandmother’s. Many past and future generations of zephyr lilies!!
I would love a set of these beautiful dishes!
I shared on Facebook!
wanted to share my thoughts that i shared with my facebook friends, my garden club, and all my internet ‘gurlfrenz’.
you will NOT find a finer, more wonderous blogsite than HOME IS WHERE THE BOAT IS … such imagination and color and inspiraton to bring pure joy to your life! AND Mary is so incredibly generous in beautiful give-aways … check out the gorgeous summery dinnerware SET she is giving away this month!
i have often used ideas she has shared with her followers in my own little parties and decoration! she is truly QUEEN of DELIGHTS in her photos, her stories, her decoration, her ideas, tips and inspiration, her menus, her table settings, her sharing, and her zest for life!
my favorite summer flower has always been SUNFLOWERS … nothing cheers me more than a row of those cheery matriarchs of the garden standing watch over all the splendor and riot of color that God has provided to bring us JOY!
The wonderful fragrance of “Lillies of the Valley” in the springtime coupled with the crisp white petite flowers with the long green leaves as their backdrop.
I love hibiscus. I have two on my patio- one red with a white center and the other has blooms which are yellow with red and pink centers. So beautiful!
Beautiful, beautiful dinnerware and how fabulous they look among your gorgeous flowers and garden!…Have to say that hydrangeas are my favorite summer flower!
I live in FL so we have flowers year round but, my favorite flowers are my bleeding hearts. The plant is so full it looks like cascades of snow with a color pop of a little red heart at each flowers tip. I love all your posts & photos and follow you via Email, plus I did a pin on Pinterest, would love to add some flowers to my table with Provence by Mikasa!!
I love so many flowers, this is hard! I guess it would be a low growing Quince that came from my mother’s. The vibrant orange flowers make up for the prickly thorns, and the other would be my Milk and Wine lilies that came from my grandmothers. I am very family oriented and love to give and receive bulbs and cuttings from my family members.
My favorite summer flower is the hydrangea. Wonderful blooms in many colors from white, blue, pink and even purple! Drying the blooms are fun for Fall arrangements. I love all your posts! Thank you for sharing this awesome Give-a-way! Have a great week!!
Mary, I love Lantana – here in NC it is perennial, and it blooms all summer (I pick off the post-blossoms) and it attracts butterflies like crazy. And I love, love, love the Provence Garden dinnerware!
Like you I love pretty table setting. I try to change mine monthly to something. I love these flowered things. We lost our store here so don’t know where to find unless got internet. And to ship dishes is expensive. So I’ll just have to keep looking I guess. Thanks for sharing your place setting they inspire me. Keep on challenging me to do more.
Hydrangeas are my favorite Summer flower. They give you so many options for color from very deep blues to white, with dusty rose to pale pink. Amazing and hardy plant that is easy to grow and to propagate, reminds me of growing up in the SE.
Table top gardening is my favorite Mary! What a fun and colorful pattern…when I first saw your blooming ladder, I swear I stopped breathing for a second it is so over the top cute!!! What a great giveaway from the greenest thumb on the planet!
Jenna
Just like the other readers it is so difficult to choose only one flower. I think I would have to say the pink cone flower. Not only are they long lasting but they stay with me through the winter and feed the birds. The colors in your pictures are breath taking.
Beautiful flowers & dishes! Limelight hydrangea are my favorite & I finally planted 3 bushes this spring. Flowers are blooming already! I am an email subscriber & I shared on Pinterest. I appreciate your blog everyday, you are so talented!
Love the summer floral dishes..all your annuals match perfect..what a treat to eat off these!! My favorite summer flower is the Zinnia!! I love all their color combinations and they just keep giving and giving..my favorite perennial is Garden Floxs..I have several colors and they are long lasting and have a wonderful aroma..and sometimes they will give blooms twice in a summer!! I also follow you on Facebook and Pinterest…I will share for sure!! Thanks again for another great giveaway!! 🌻🌺🌼🌸💐🌷🌹
My favorite are red geraniums. However, this summer I have my first Mexican sunflower and I am enjoying watching it take shape so much. It’s center is really unusual. Love the “blooming ” dishes.
Always a hard choice to pick just one. For for me, it is not summer without an abundance of “Endless Summer” blue hydrangeas.
Mary, your pictures of flowers and arrangements are beautiful. Thank you
Mary, I have a difficult time singling out a favorite in my garden, but the plumbago certainly blooms from spring to first freeze, if we have a freeze. The golden thryallis and oak leaf hydrangeas are also my constant bloomers.
The garden dishes are gorgeous, but it’s all your glorious planters filled with bright color that has my heart singing. I want to hire you to be my gardener! ;-)
Thanks for sharing all this beauty to start my day!
My absolute favorite flower is the one I’m looking at when I’m asked. Truly, when I’m looking at roses…they’re my favorite. When I’m looking at dahlias…my favorite…coneflowers…my favorite….iris….my favorite….
I don’t see myself as fickle. I just love flowers as do you!
Love your photos and I’m sharing this on FB.
Good luck Ladies.
How pretty those dishes look with all your beautiful flowers surrounding them! My favorite summer perennial is probably daylilies, but there are so many flowers I love, that it is hard to pick just one. Roses, butterfly bush, bee balm, etc. Flowers are the best part of summer to me.
I love a flower I can enjoy inside and outside. Hydrangea fills the bill on that one for sure. I also love something that is not exactly a flower but I love to see Creeping Jenny spilling over my pots and creeping down the sides! I love every photo and all this eye candy makes me happy!!
Lantana is so versatile. Tough yet beautiful. In one plant you can get 3-4 colors. Beautiful dishes, thanks for your almost daily pictures of wonderful things.
My heart just sings when my dinner plate dahlias bloom at this time of year! I’m looking at 5 of them right now through my french doors. I am a loyal follower by email! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
My new favorite for summer is my David Austin heirloom rose, Belle Story…pink, delicate and very fragrant! As we grow lots of lavender here in three varieties, I do need to include that as well. Right in the middle of lavender harvest here, a bit earlier than usual due to hot, hot, hot weather! Ahhhh, life on the farm! The beautiful Provence Garden dishes would be so lovely on our summer table out here in Oregon!
I love hydrangea! We can’t grow them here in the desert, but I love seeing them flowering in your posts and I try to pick them up at the market when available.
Hydrangeas, Peonies and Daisies are my favorite flowers. They make me smile.
Everything about this post also makes me smile. Your flowers and the plates are gorgeous!
I love this post! So colorful. I love this china. It is very different than any I have and would make any occasion happier.
My favorite flower is the zinnia. They are easy to grow, long lasting blooms, great for cutting and so many colors to enjoy!
My favorite summer flowers are sweet William and forget me nots. My brother Bill is the only brother (out of 3) I have left so sweet William is special to me. My sisters and I all exchanged forget me nots when we established our own homes. I have shared on Facebook, pinned on Pinterest, and am subscribed on email. I love seeing your tablescapes as it is something I am passionate about.
Peonies, snapdragons, sweet pea, roses…..really? Do I have to choose?
Mary, this is the happiest china pattern yet! Great colors and you are fearless mixing textures and color–always to wonderful effect.
As always your photos and staging are stunning. Oh, I would love to win these beautiful dishes. I would use half of them to put on display in a flower box arrangement on my covered porch like you did. I love flowers but they are so expensive, so my flower boxes always look sparse and pretty dishes sure add color with no worries about adding miracle grow. Ha. I would use the other part of the set inside my cottage. Your posts are so inspiring and now I am going to hunt for some mis matched dishes at Goodwill to spruce up my anemic flower boxes.
1. My favorite summer flower is Black-Eyed Susan. I used to volunteer in a woman’s domestic violence center. In the summer I planted these flowers in bright colored cheerful containers in the court yard, to remind the abused women that even though they had been abused in emotional or physical ways that they were still beautiful to God and others.
2. I am a email subscriber and look forward to each post.
3. I pinned many of the photos from this post to my Pinterest board about Garden décor and Greenhouse dreams.
I know there are those who would beg to differ, but I adore Daylilies. I have about 20 varieties in a large bed intermixed with other perrenials. They have no pests, come back every year without fail and multiply so I can share with friends and expand my own gardens.
I like the marriage of peonies and lavender that remind me of my earthly paradise, Provence, where I spent 14 years of vacationing with my husband until he died 9 years ago and haven’t returned since. Not my sun here so at the mercy f my florist,
The flower that evokes so many memories of my home state of Hawaii and the many years of living in North Carolina is the gardenia. To me, the gardenia represents love and hospitality and there is no other scent that touches my soul more.
Our backyard is done in perennials and they are in full bloom here in Texas. My husband and I love them all and we can’t say that we have a favorite. The dishes set among the blooms is lovely. Flowers are like friends in our lives and we don’t realize their beauty until it fades. Have a great day. Your display is lovely.
My happy flower is a memory of my grandpa….BEGONIA’s! We live near the coast and his favorite thing to see was all his hard work planting the garden beds full of Begonia’s. He was always very proud of how they looked! Now for me….. having them in my garden brings him along and adds a happy memory everyday while they are blooming!
Where do I begin?? I love all summer flowers, adore Hydrangeas especially. My Knock Out rose is really a – well – “knock out” this year! Unfortunately I am physically unable to do much with flowers this year, so I live vicariously through blogs like this one….and Home is Where the Boat Is is at the top of my list.
Could I win the linens instead? Just kidding, but I love your tablescapes and enjoy the mix of linens and dishes you choose. My favorite summer flower is the star jasmine that covers the wall outside my garage. Its green foliage is beautiful year-round, but the fragrance and show of the blooms in spring are amazing.
I love the smell of Lilacs when I walk out onto my porch in the spring. Then come the big beautiful heads of hydrangea in the summer. But, the morning glories covering the picket fence remind me of my childhood.
I have a few favorites so a bit hard to pick one but I love my Hydrangeas, Lantanas, Daylillies and last but not least my Lambs ear!! These plants get bigger and more beautiful every year.
My favorite summer flower in my yard are my many varieties of day lilies. I love your photos of your flowers with the dishes mixed in – they make my heart happy.
My very favorite flowers are the old garden roses, Cecil Brunner, Alba Semi Plena, Old Blush, Harrison’s Yellow, Souvenir de Malmaison and on and on and on.
Ok. Now you’ve done it. Really? You’re going to make me buy more dishes????!!
Oh I must have those! And since I’m so sad because our lake house had flooded twice in 2 months and my pool is almost destroyed…all of my annuals are gone and most of my perennials are not coming back….I must have flowers in the form of dish ware!!!! Love Love love them!!
I think I look forward to seeing my mother’s Siberian Irises each year. Before we sold my parents’ homes after their deaths, I transplanted her irises into various containers, and they have gone where ever I have gone! They make me smile. I subscribe and have liked your wonderful posts on FB.
Hi Mary of the delightful garden photos!! So inspirational as always! My favorite summer flower would have to be the geranium. I winter my pretty ladies over and bring them out in the spring to acclimate and flourish. Some of my girls have been with me for over 10 years!
Thank you so much for your beautiful posts. I would say my favorite summer flower is the hydrangea. I have the giant white ones that turn lime green in my garden. Once they turn the lime color, I cut them with long stems and bring them in the house to dry. I stick them in the boughs of our Christmas tree and they are still stunning then. Love, love, love to decorate with them all year long until new ones bloom again!!! I found this saying the other day and all of you might appreciate it as well. “If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need,” by Marcus Tullius Cicero Enjoy!!!! 💐💐💐 Sent from my iPhone
I have so many favorites from just being around all my Mom’s gardens growing up. My favorite are Daisy’s but I love Peony, Lily, Sweet Williams, Coneflower, Lobelia, oh the list can go on and on.
Mary, thank you for the generous give-away. This is my first year following on e-mail and Facebook. Peonies are my favorite, and I have both regular and tree peonies. I entertain quite a bit and use 7 sets of dishes off & on for my themed get-togethers. All your photos are so lovely and I really enjoy them!
My favorite summer flower is hydrangea and the eastern snowball. Since it’s so hot where I live, it is impossible to grow them. So I love seeing your beautiful pictures especially of the snowballs. Your love of beautiful flowers is contagious!
I love all flowers even the pretty weeds you pick from the fields. Since I have over 300 day lilies perhaps I should say they are my favorites. I am already a subscriber.
These are beautiful as well as your display. I just love your blog. I just got married and am creating gardens at my husband’s home. He calls me a “mole” because I’m always digging in the yard. I am forwarding this post and your blog to my sister in California. I am sure she would love your bog.
Patti in Missouri.
Summer all the time when you can look at your beautiful garden. Mighty pretty flowers to admire from someone has a “brown thumb” ,unfortunately, when it comes growing things. I still can appreciate the beauty.
Pick me any sunny, colorful bouquet. I love flowers. I would say my favorite brings back a childhood memory of the sweet peas my grandmother would grow in the desert in California. I can smell them now.
Love what you grow and what you love will grow.
A harder question would be what summer flower don’t I like! But, if I had to pick favorites it would be peony and sweet peas. Those flowers are powerful reminders of my childhood and loved ones who shared those times. I am trying not to buy any more dishes, but winning a set wouldn’t count so it would be perfect! Thank you for your beautiful posts and a chance to be a “winner”.MM
My favorite summer flower is the geranium. Every time I plant one, I think of my Grandmother who always had them in her planters on the front porch. She loved sitting on her porch, visiting with family and friends and admiring her flowers.
Whatever is blooming at the time is my favorite, flowers are just like your children. I have a special place in my heart for the simple daisy, though. It’s so clean and pure.
Love your blog I have been a subscriber for years. My favorite flowers are gladiolas. My grandmother had beds and beds of them in every color. She always had fresh cut flowers on the table, in a time when no one had air condition that just intensified the fragrance. This lovely plate setting was added to my Pintrest board “For the Table.” Thank you for the give-a-way and for an inspiring blog.
Every spring I look forward to the peonies blooming. When they do, I fill the house with their delicious scent.. then I’m ready for summer. I subscribe to Homes Is Where The Boat Is and I liked on facebook. I also follow on Pinterest. What a beautiful blog.
Naming my favorite flower would be like naming my favorite child…but my endless summer if putting on a beautiful show this year. Then there is black & blue saliva I found several years ago. I love it and so do the hummingbirds. My stand by is lantana. Can’t pick just one.
I spent Monday in Mooresville shopping and stopped at the best nursery, Brawley’s. Loved it and thought surely you go there. Was I right?
My favorite summer flower is the one that is blooming !
Probably daisies, really, though, because they can just be plopped into water with no arranging needed.
So many to choose but I have to say the classic flower for me is the geranium. I love the deep reds, vibrant fuschias, soft pinks and the stark whites…..so many colors to pair in a pot with other smaller flowers and different types of hanging plants. Makes for a classic, traditional look which I love!
Depending on the day, I could have a different favorite, but one is the day lily because of the many colors and it’s hardiness. No matter how harsh our Midwestern summers get, it just blooms and blooms. It needs little pampering and can be shared with others when rebedding.
Thank you for your cheerful posts and beautiful pictures. And my grand-dogs love that you share recipes for doggy treats!
I am a new follower. Thank you, for the opportunity. I also added on Facebook. Looking forward to beautiful posts, to add color and inspiration to my newsfeed!
My favorite annual is hydrangea. I had 30 huge spectacular bushes when we lived in Kentucky, but now I live in hot Texas and have only one that requires a lot of care. It is in a pot and move it away from the full sun and kept it moist in this horrible Texas heat. My fingers are crossed that it makes it through its first year. Yes, love your posts and I am a subscriber!
Love, love, love your blog…your pictures are an inspiration also. I am a caterer constantly looking for beauty and your taste is what I aspire to. I am a long time subscriber and have used your ideas a lot! This year my geraniums have been my fav because they are a wonderful workhorse…I use red ones a lot because they just make my porch pop!! Thank you so much for the wonderful pictures…love them!!
Favorite flower is the purple petunia! Just love them!!! Subscribe by email and follow on Pinterest!!! Your tablescapes inspire me!!! Thanks for sharing!
My favorite summer flowers are red geraniums followed by a close second with sunflowers. I love the two together. The more color the better. Thank you for a wonderful blog. I get to take a mini break each day when I disappear into your photos. Thank you.
WOW, these dishes are so pretty and you have displyed them so perfectly among your beautiful flowers! I am going to keep my fingers crossed:) Yo are so generous. BTW, now I know how to get more comments: do a giveaway:):) Thanks for the chance.
There isn’t a flower that I have met that I didn’t love! If I have to pick just one then I must pick red geraniums because my visiting hummingbirds for the summer seem to love them too and I love my hummers! Lol
I would feel a traitor to name any one flower as my favorite as I love them all! But my particular favorite this year are St. Joseph’s Lilies (aka Hardy Amaryllis). I ran across a picture of these quite by accident and fell in love with them and their story. They are an old southern lily that nowadays can only be found in old cemeteries or old homesteads. They are also know as “pass along” plants amongst family and friends. I found this to be true as there were absolutely no nurseries in my area that sell these plants. After some research on the internet, I found some vendors that sell the bulbs. I purchased a lot!! I gave some to my sister and planted the rest!! Mine bloomed this week–even though late in the season to do so! I can’t tell you how excited I was to see those blooms. I find it so strange that a plant as beautiful as this has been forgotten! My plan is to make this plant reemerge from its dormant past by passing along to as many family and friends as I can!!
Beautiful, Mary! As usual! My favorite summer flower and perennial is the hydrangea. I love it in every color, but my favorites are blue and limelight.
This is a stunning way to share these dishes! Deciding on a favorite is a hard thing to do as many others have attested to . When I am asked that question my answer is “whatever is in bloom”. Right now it is peony, a few iris left, clematis and some beautiful orange poppies !!! Thanks. Always such inspiration to be found on your site.
Well, though it’s hard to pick one, I’d have to say the I get quite giddy seeing my peonies ready to burst into blooms!
They seemed to take forever this year and like most years, every time they bloom, a fierce storm comes along and pummels them! Your blog is a joy to visit and I love your sweet dogs!
The photos and colors are amazing.Love those dishes I follow by email and shared on Pinterest.
. My favorite flowers is blue iris and something I can’t grow here-calycanthus or sweet shrub.
If it’s summer and the flowers are blooming they are my favorites in honor of my mom Sweet William is my absolute favorite. Thanks for the great giveaway Becky
My favorite flower is the regal Delphinium! I’ve posted to FB and Pinterest and I share your blog with friends because I can’t get over how beautiful it always is. Thank you.
Love Red Geraniums! Being from Long Island it thrives throughout the summer season. If you Pinterest the Hamptons, many homes & restaurants incorporate their beauty. Keep on blooming……. Thank you!
My favorite summer flower is fuschia. Mary your tablescapes and potting shed leave me very awed. And Chloe and Gracie are SO CUTE!!!!!! Thank you so much for always brightening my day.
I love Hydrangeas and have several different varieties around my home. I am a flower person and really haven’t met too many that I didn’t enjoy. Look @ a flower, and just imagine how awesome Heaven is~!
Wonderful table. My favorite perennial is probably knock out roses I don’t know if it’s because I’m a lazy gardener or they’re so beautiful but it seems to satisfy both! I am email subscriber and I shared your post on Facebook
I love all flowers but miss raising roses, daylilies, and lots of other beauties that don’t do well in Florida. I am sharing on my Facebook page and following by email. Thanks!
My favorite flower is the Borage bloom. They are so unique, versatile and petitie. I like the fact they are edible. I incorporate them into savory and sweet dishes.
My favorite summer flowers is impatiens—lovely for shaded areas. I also love love love azaleas, but I think those are technically Spring flowers.

Oh one of my favorites is the Tropical Cannas! I have to buy one every year for our backyard. Reminds me so much of the warm tropics and they are so beautiful! landfjacobson @ charter . net
My aunt had a row of gorgeous hydrangeas in front of her property and I’ve been in love with the flower since I was small, dodging bees near those bushes.
I love Gardenias and Gladiolas. I truly can not pick between the 2 as to which is my favorite. I love the Gardenia smell and the flower of the Gladiola and that it stays bloomed all summer.
I love the flowers inside this cup! I love many flowers, but am not sure if they would classify as summer flowers. I like Gerber Daisies, Sunflowers, and Hibiscus.
I love lilies. In fact I just took a photo this morning and posted it on my instagram of a white lily that I saw growing while leaving the community garden. As I stated on there… I wish they would bloom all year long! (although, maybe because they only bloom in the spring/early summer it makes it more special.
I love being outside in my yard. I have raised beds foe most of my perennials. I love lilies and we also have a large amount of fern and shade plants since we are in the woods. The give away is beautiful and you inspire me to decorate!
My favorite summer flower is a beautiful rose, Double Delight. Thank you for your always beautiful posts.
I love sunflowers. They remind me of summers in Provence, where you see fields and fields of them. Bright and strong and beautiful!
I LOVE THE PURSLANE FLOWER ITS SO HOT HERE IN DALLAS I HAVE IT EVERYWHERE IT LOVES THE SUN
My favorite summer flowers are Sweet Peas, with their pastel blooms so light and airy and such fragrant scent.
I posted to my fb page
I love a profusion of zinnias. They attract bees, hummingbirds, and goldfinches who love to pluck off the petals to get to the seeds.
I subscribe by email and follow on Facebook.
Shared on Facebook.
Foxgloves are a special for me.
Black eyed Susan for the perennials and morning glory’s that volunteer every year to come back! email and pinterest! thank you!
I love my coneflowers and so do the birds and butterflies. Just a wooza post!
Beautiful dinnerware, let’s have a dinner party. I love all the flowers but my favorite would be the rose.
All the flowers are my favorite. But, if i had to narrow it down to just one, it would be stargazer lily
My favorite spring perennial is a certain single peony that came from my Dad, that he got from his Mom. I will be sharing with my daughter and son.
This is like naming your favorite child – hard! Blue iris and orange poppy combination, I think. Thank you, Mary, for the opportunity to feed my dish fetish. ;)
Of course I am a subscriber!
Your flowers are beautiful Mary, enjoy perennial month:@)

I have so many favorites, but partial to old fashion flowers like hydrangeas, dahlias, azaleas and the list goes on. My gardens are a sharing garden as I have lily of the valley, and daylilies from my mom and English bluebells from my grandmother whom have both passed. Love, love, love walking through the garden beds when they start popping up which bring so many fond memories of them both. I’m a follower via email and just now via pinterest.

Thank you Miss Mary, Mary Quite Extraordinary!
Hydrangeas, roses and lilies are some of my favourites. I love dishes, different for every meal.
Beautiful garden and sweet dishes! Your tablescapes to me always are beautiful. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
My favorite summer flower is hydrangea.
I love them all but my very favorite is the beautiful, wee, forget-me-not.
The wonderful fragrance of “Lillies of the Valley” in the springtime coupled with the crisp white petite flowers with the long green leaves as their backdrop.
Peonies are my absolute fave. Mine are still blooming. I pinned and saved to FB as well as subscribed. Hope I am the winner.
I love hibiscus. I have two on my patio- one red with a white center and the other has blooms which are yellow with red and pink centers. So beautiful!
I love peonies and sunflower
Beautiful, beautiful dinnerware and how fabulous they look among your gorgeous flowers and garden!…Have to say that hydrangeas are my favorite summer flower!
All flowers are beautiful but I’m sticking with the classics—hybrid tea roses, peonies and iris. Summer faves are geraniums and angelonia!
I enjoy your blog so so much! It’s always so inspirational!
I love sunny yellow nasturtiums and clematis climbers. Angel trumpets, too!

I follow you on Facebook and email. Shared your blog on Facebook. My favorite summer flower is Zinnias, I love the many colors in one bed.

Jenna
This year my favorite flower is the milkweed, because it’s the host plant for the Monarch butterfly.
Just like the other readers it is so difficult to choose only one flower. I think I would have to say the pink cone flower. Not only are they long lasting but they stay with me through the winter and feed the birds. The colors in your pictures are breath taking.

Always a hard choice to pick just one. For for me, it is not summer without an abundance of “Endless Summer” blue hydrangeas.
Mary, your pictures of flowers and arrangements are beautiful. Thank you
I love so many different flowers. My favorite summer flower would have to be sunflowers.
crystalrsell at gmail dot com
Love morning glories, black-eyed susans, hydrangea. Heck I love them all!!!!
I follow your blog by email and always enjoy reading it.
I shared this on Pinterest. I have several other Kim Parker pins on there are well.
My heart just sings when my dinner plate dahlias bloom at this time of year! I’m looking at 5 of them right now through my french doors. I am a loyal follower by email! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
Your flowers are so Beautiful and those colors….Love!!!!’
I also follow your posts and emails…they make my mornings!
This is bound to be another one of Mary’s delightful giveaways! I would love to set my table with these beautiful dishes.
Love the fragrance of wisteria I always feel spring is here when they are in bloom.
I love hydrangea! We can’t grow them here in the desert, but I love seeing them flowering in your posts and I try to pick them up at the market when available.
Impatiens and hydrangea, especially Nikko blue. Lovely pattern

Oh yeah… I posted this to two of my Pinterest boards, China and Tablescapes.
What a glorious, colorful post! My favorites would include peonies, iris, petunias and bright red geraniums. The more color, the better. :-)

I subscribe by email and follow on Facebook. I love Black Eyed Susans!
Love the lilies! And shared on Facebook….
My favorite perennial is the old-fashioned tall dark pink garden phlox that comes back every year.
I like hydrangeas. They are big, soft, fluffy.
Peonies, snapdragons, sweet pea, roses…..really? Do I have to choose?
Mary, this is the happiest china pattern yet! Great colors and you are fearless mixing textures and color–always to wonderful effect.
My favorite summer flowers are geraniums….all colors! Thanks for the chance to win. Shared on Facebook.
Love so many if I had to narrow it down to one I would say hydrangea.
Doodlebug Daylilies ~ for starters. Color rules! Thanks for sharing.
Subscribe by email.
Pansy!
Thanks for a wonderful inspiring blog.
My favorite is Purple Cone flower!
I shared on facebook!
Hydrangeas! Always have loved them.
I follow on face book!
Love the arrangement with the flowers and dishes, so summery. Beautiful job.
I absolutely LOVE Lilacs! Although they are only around for such a short time, they are so awesome!
Love your site. My favorite flower would be blue Hydrangea.
The dishes displayed among the flowers was too cute. My favorite flower is hydrangea.
Not my sun here so at the mercy f my florist,
mimi
(cigalechanta)
Enjoy reading your blog; peonies and roses.
My all-time favorite flower is the Peony. So fragrant, big and bossy!
I have a peach David Austin Tamora Rose that makes my heart sing! I am also an email subscriber and Facebook follower. Thanks!
Peonies are my favorite. Their scent is intoxicating! I plant several to cut for myself and to share with friends and neighbors!
I subscribe to email.
I follow you on Pinterest and Facebook…sharing on each one.
I “NEED” those dishes!!!!
it’s a toss up between Zinnia’s, Gladiolis and Dahlias… Love them all..
Sharing on face book now.
My favorite summer flower in my yard are my many varieties of day lilies. I love your photos of your flowers with the dishes mixed in – they make my heart happy.

My favorite is the torenia– it just blooms its little heart out for those of us with more shade than sun.
Foxglove! This flower reminds me of delightful English gardens! Thanks for the lovely giveaway opportunity.
My favorite summer flower is hydrangea and the eastern snowball. Since it’s so hot where I live, it is impossible to grow them. So I love seeing your beautiful pictures especially of the snowballs. Your love of beautiful flowers is contagious!
Love so many of them, but Lily of the Valley has always been my favorite!
I am hardpressed to choose a favorite flower, I love them all as they all have something to offer.
I love, love, love hydrangeas. And peony but I cannot grow them in my yard. Thank you for the opportunity!

Hard to pick a favorite..yet, this year I am drawn to the yellow columbines, they simply make me smile!
I forgot to mention that I subscribe by email. Thanks for your lovely pictures, they inspire me to bring more beauty to my garden.
I just love the vibrant blues of the perennial Delphiniums. Your gardens and photos are so beautiful, thanks for sharing them.
PS, I am, of course, an email follower. A new post is always welcome. MM
My favorite summer flower is the geranium. Every time I plant one, I think of my Grandmother who always had them in her planters on the front porch. She loved sitting on her porch, visiting with family and friends and admiring her flowers.
My favorite flower is the gladiola. My late father always gave my twin sister and I a bouquet for our birthday. Thanks for the giveaway.

Thanks for the giveaway opportunity….. My favorite summertime flower is the hydrangea – they are so beautiful and remind me of my grandmother!

I love bright red geraniums and Shasta daisies!
I love hydrangea ! They are so pretty just like these pretty flowered dishes !
My favorite flower is a sunflower
I am following this blog and on Facebook
Love your blog I have been a subscriber for years. My favorite flowers are gladiolas. My grandmother had beds and beds of them in every color. She always had fresh cut flowers on the table, in a time when no one had air condition that just intensified the fragrance. This lovely plate setting was added to my Pintrest board “For the Table.” Thank you for the give-a-way and for an inspiring blog.
It would have to be hydrangea or maybe Geraniums as they remind me of my Grandmother. I enjoy your blog.
I have been following you for over a year11 Love love love all you do!! I want your potting shed!
I follow by email. Hydrangeas are my favorites.
Sunflowers remind me of my Prince Charming’s warm smile and tender heart!!
Every spring I look forward to the peonies blooming. When they do, I fill the house with their delicious scent.. then I’m ready for summer. I subscribe to Homes Is Where The Boat Is and I liked on facebook. I also follow on Pinterest. What a beautiful blog.
Too many flower loves to have just one favorite! Posted to pinterest for others to enjoy.
A favorite is hard to pick but Turtlehead and Daisy are in the tops.
This has to be one of my favorite posts by you! Just beautiful!
My favorite summer flower is the red geranium!
My favorite flower is Lilly of the Valley.
I follow on FB.
Pinned to pintrest
Without a dout !!! GERANIUMS ! They are showy! Hardy and last through the summer!!! I love simple daisys too ! Thanks for the giveaway!!
I am a new follower. Thank you, for the opportunity. I also added on Facebook. Looking forward to beautiful posts, to add color and inspiration to my newsfeed!
My favorite annual is lobelia, dark purple. I shared on my Pinterest page. Love your tablesettings. Will sign up for your email list.
My favorite summer flower is Dahlia.

Love your blog!
My favorite summer flowers are petunias…and impatiens. Especially the red, white and Blue combinations with dark blue lobelia.
There isn’t a flower that I have met that I didn’t love! If I have to pick just one then I must pick red geraniums because my visiting hummingbirds for the summer seem to love them too and I love my hummers! Lol
I love roses. Sweet smelly ones are the best.
I have never seen a flower I didn’t like. I love them all.
Sunflowers!! Is there any “happier” flower? You just have to smile when you see sunflowers.
My absolute favorite is the hydrangea. I have 14 bushes on a small lot – that is the size of my love for them!
I love Impatiens. I plant them every spring.
Would love to win some dishes in this contest so I’m posting on facebook
Beautiful, Mary! As usual! My favorite summer flower and perennial is the hydrangea. I love it in every color, but my favorites are blue and limelight.
This is a stunning way to share these dishes! Deciding on a favorite is a hard thing to do as many others have attested to . When I am asked that question my answer is “whatever is in bloom”. Right now it is peony, a few iris left, clematis and some beautiful orange poppies !!! Thanks. Always such inspiration to be found on your site.
