We spent a long weekend with friends in Charleston, South Carolina enjoying some food & fun. We park the car once we arrive, walking to our destinations and dinner. Charleston is a foodie’s paradise and we enjoy touring with our taste buds and attempt to walk off some of the calories we consume.
No matter how many times I visit, I always enjoy taking a stroll in the early morning hours with my camera.
I took over 500 photos over the course of the weekend of beautiful homes, wrought iron gates and courtyard gardens, editing them down to about 360 photos, which took awhile. ;)
I’m sharing some Charleston window boxes which are always lush and blooming no matter what the season! Having irrigation to the window boxes is definitely a requirement with the summer heat in Charleston!
Spring window boxes were blooming with a combination of violas, sweet alyssum, creeping Jenny, snapdragons, ornamental kale and cyclamen, just to name a few.
And I even saw lavender and petunias in the window boxes in bloom since it’s been a such mild winter.
A petite and pretty sidewalk garden and planters. . .
Like most of the US, we’re expecting a wintry blast this weekend with a slight chance of snow. . .a rude awakening after weeks of 60 and 70 degree temperatures!
